Greetings eve forums,
I recently accquired an amaar pilot and have never used anything but caldari missile tech before. I was curious about how Amaarian pilots do, mission wise. Like, whats the best region to use (to exploit the dmg types they deal), what ships are best to use (i can fly BS, HAC, T3, recon), and what i should try to avoid.
Thanks!

Hey
I appreciate all the advice so far. Any advice on what ships to use? I gotta work up from the bottom, so i was thinking either a harby / zealot till i get to lvl 4's then maybe a legion for lvl 4's, since i dont really like large ships. Any advice?
Thanks

Originally by: Sem Nan I never really flown amarr ships for pve, but i think that the legion would be your best pick, granted that you already have the skills for it.
Overall, best ship i've seen and used to run amarr missions (vs blood raider and sanshas) is the Nightmare. Long range, excellent tracking, very high DPS due to being able to mount 8 effective tachyons, good capacitor since it only uses 4 actual turrets and shield-tanked laser boat, so you're able to use as many heat sinks/tracking enhancers you want without hurting your tank.
Blood raiders neut so on paper that would be bad for a laser/shield tank ship. But on practice they're never a bother. You have to remember that wrecks don't shoot back .
There are several fittings out there. Go with the ones that aren't overtanked and use tachyons. Avoid omni tanks, use specific mods for each mission. (Something with over 500 points of tank for one specific damage type is considered overtank for a lvl 4 mission.). The rest, fit heat sinks and tracking mods.
You want a ship that tanks from 300 to 500 of a specific damage type, deals over laser 850 DPS with a 40km+ optimal and has over 40% tracking bonus.
Whatever ship and however you fit it to achieve those stats doesnt matter. Just remember to not make it full faction/deadspace/officer fit to avoid ganking.
this is the best insight ive been given so far about missioning from anyone who has bothered to respond when i ask a question. Thanks!! :)
