Evening or Afternoon!
I would like to introduce myself, I am Herr Ronin, Currently I help Manage ISN - Incursion Shiny Network a High-Sec Incursion community focused on results and statistics, I would like to put myself forward for CSM 8, There are many reasons why I have thought about a decision like this; one of the main Factor's is currently High-Sec has not got a Voice on the CSM, with that being said CCP made a change to Incursions that nearly killed the community aspect of it. Change's like these are making it hard for High Sec pilots to adapt and succeed, changes that CCP releases, with no idea, or input on the impact to the High-Sec Player base.
If a High-Sec CSM can maintain good communication and give feedback on CCPGÇÖs releases then many of these harsh change's can be avoided or minimized. As the elections for CSM 8 get closer I will be expanding on my four points and revising as necessary, the current points are below.

You say that currently hisec doesn't have a voice on the CSM. Do not Issler Daize and Keldruum qualify in your opinion?

A high sec representative would be nice. But I do wonder what you would change about the current mining system? Also, what would you do with the current mission system? I would like to see more of a challenge introduced into missions. Maybe a new type that is more akin to sleeper sites and incursion sites in regard to AI and damage output. Would be a nice option for those that dislike herding cats(read:fleets) and have limited play times. Though, I would be more interested in any sort of revamp to industry. Thoughts on that?

The Escalation nerf to incursions showed that high sec is not properly represented in the development process. Only after a vibrant community was nearly extinguished did CCP correct the April 2012 changes.
A balancing voice with a high sec dweller's point of view on the CSM would have averted missteps and made for a less drastic swing back and forth. Yes to Herr Ronin.

I've been running with Herr Ronin for a bit now. He's a solid FC, and cares about his pilots. He isn't afraid of handling the rough stuff, or proving his opinion. High Sec could definitely use SOMEONE looking out for us.

I, as well have been running with Herr Ronin and the ISN for the last little bit. I find the community he has helped build to be very supportive and accepting to new pilots, as well as to veteran pilots. This happens in many ways. One in ship fitting, as well as in FC skills, and supporting those who have a desire to succeed on the incursion path, and therefore in whatever path a pilot is on.
Not only would it be good to see someone as solid as Herr Ronin on the CSM, it would be nice to see someone like Herr represent those in High sec. Not only to the benefit of Incursion pilots, but all those who call High sec home.

Missions are more like grinding than challenging. The ones challenging enough are too challenging and the others are just meh.
Story-wise they're very lacking also, and rewards are just crap.
Mining needs to be more appealing to players and less bottable.

The occasional pony talk aside, Herr Ronin has good viewpoints and is always open for talk. Also he's one of the fewer people that entertain and discuss completely new ideas in any area of the game. That alone makes him a highly decent candidate for a CSM position.
I will definitively give him my support, for having what I'd consider fresh and very needed input from a different angle on the council. |
