Sorry that some people don't like the new changes :(
The problem is that combat HAD to be toned down specifically because of m0o and similar groups actions.
You ganked so many people that they all started yelling for help, and rightly so.
If you don't like the game any more, you've only got yourselves to blame, all it needed was a little restraint and resonableness on the part of m0o and co.
But no, you just kept full speed ahead ganking. You're the people who've made the game be changed.
Now maybe the devs can get back to their original ideas and get the content and other stuff up and running without losing any more serious players.

75% less damage? I thought they only fixed SS adding to weapon upgrade modifiers? I don't exploit SS and I can still kill cruisers very fast, fast enough for me anyway, and that in a Blackbird. Heck, I don't even use weapon upgrades...
Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage. |

im not going to call anyone names or do the mo0 is evil speech im going to point out one simple thing you claim the game will fail in 4 months i disagree most strongly they said the same about anarchy online yet it has almost 100k+ plus accounts with 20k people playing at any given time for a more important statement they said the same thing about ww2 online a online game that had probably the worst launch in the history of anything yet 2 years later its still around and has a large player base itself at its worst it was down to 300 players on a friday night now its a different story
eve will do just fine as many people do not want to be involved in your play style and are more than happy enough just mining and building a empire and trading if you go away you wont be missed but i will say one thing on your behalf you will leave behind a legacy that will be hard to match

Its true blood. Many have even said mOo would cause the game to change in drastic ways, of course they told mOo to tone down a bit, but like blood said they did not. MOo you shot yourselves in the foot this time, no ones fault but your own.
I'm glad to see the game shifting in the right direction. As it was, combat was pretty much similar to playing a FPS, or an RTS without the strategy. Maybe now we can see major engagments that last more than 2 minutes, see Fleets engage not once but over and over until one side's tactics proves superior.
To mOo I can only say this, if you cannot adapt and overcome then it is time for you to go. This game would be a waste of time for you and any that play as you do; simplistic, unimaginative, and self-defeating. Your reign of supposed superiority is at an end. |
