In a fantastic display of childishness, VOTF rushed in an crashed the wedding of Lucian Alucard and Ryea Eripmav. At 0027 EVE time tonight, Venegance of the Fallen rushed in an killed my ibis :( in a pathetic attempt to ruin the happiness of two members of the community. After smashing my paper-thin armor, they proceeded to annihilate the bride. The guests watched in horrified silence as they saw her Scorpion-class battleship erupt into flames.

Needless to say, the wedding couldn;t happen with the bride dead. Those of us in attendance are shocked and angry about what happened, and any respect I had for VOTF is gone (not that it was a lot anyway). I think Fatballs summed it up best when he said

Contrary to VOTF belief, FRICK was not contracted to protect this wedding. We did not receive any payment nor did we seal any deals. That's why the only one there was me, as best man. If you're upset that there weren't more of us to kill, well, perhaps you should investigate forum posts closer next time.

ya i am not on lon enough and unfortunately forgot about the security part but I am regretting it now. Plus i had asked for a sizeable and large fleet to come in bs for the wedding so intherory if everyone who was invited came it would have been easy to kill the votf fleet

This was from the thread about the wedding, before it happened. Lucian stated that he planned on hiring us, but he never did. So that is why we weren't doing security.
As to a VOTF war, well, you guys declared on us yesterday so I guess we don't have to :)

I don't know why people say its lame. This was a player generated event, and I'm pretty sure there will have been reasons for why the bride was choosen as the target of an assasination. Rather than complain, why not use this as an oppertunity to make a player driven event into something bigger now. The weddign was an RP event, so why not make the assasination into one and let things take their course. Work with it, and see where this takes you :)
Much more fun than the event been over tonight, now it can continue with a more "secret" wedding with more security and knowing that their may be a second attack at the new venue :P

true Hicks, I don't know i for once am taking it personal cuz i was hoping to get alot of the people i like/respect/know to do something fun together for once I am very disappointed in how this turned out seeing as I only have a few more months in Eve as is,so I wanted to do something pretty cool befor I left. But apparently Imperium wants to have some RP gala, where can we Rp'ers take this? War? ok between who, FOE and Imperium,your pilots did say it was because I was in the same alliance as Foyle so please tell me what is it that you want?

Attack on my fiancee is a declaration of war in my mind. If it war they then I hope and i speak for myself alone that it is war they shall recieve. The wedding will be held in sercret and reschedualed,eve mails will be sent to all invited and ALL Imperium members and disinvited. This was a disappointing affair and I made the mistake in putting faith into to many people VOTF included I honestly thought they would show some monocrome of respect,this is a mistake I will not make again,
