Edited by: Clair Bear on 16/06/2011 00:15:13 OP, you missed one option.
Suicide ganking.
If you've ground up 5.0 security rating you've got about 40 dead ice miners in your future. Some of them drop nice named modules, some drop t2 salvage. And you can't put a price on tears. That's about a month of entertainment if you pace yourself.
Just saying, that's what I did my final year here.
The year before that I took a 0.0 vacation with a renter corp. Ratting pays better than missioning, and is more casual. Markets in 0.0 can be fun too.
And in summary, bigger blobs are the answer. Now what was the question? |

Atima @ Me?
If it was I did try 1 or 2 times to do an IPO, those got shutdown within a day of even thinking up the "lack of an idea"(good thing, was too noob, still am hence why i was so happy to get a basic brakedown of trading), after you guys flamed me about everything down to mylife and family. BTW I and my family are still great.
Nevertheless I have never not payed someone back, for the reasons i never got public funding, and I dont scam (I like my characters names) all have to do with rl, and are unreplaceable, that and it would make me feel bad.
So to sum it up, don't matter if it was directed at me. I am guilt of the first, but not the second. I am also not even thinking about trying to get public funds anymore, ever being that I finally have (RL Money)GTC to fund anything i want to do.
So i guess thats everything. Later (sorry bout spelling its late) -Mez + Alts

3. Figured it wasn't to me, maybe the first part, but not the second.
I was talking about myself.

Since you don't have a lot of time: Avoid market/manufacturing aspects as you are already hating the pve.
I suggest you take your 2bil and buy 2 T1 bc's a few T1 frigates and an assult ship. T2 fit them all for pvp.
Find some corp that likes low sec pvp and join in. If they get blown up oh well you had some fun and they didn't cost much.
If you end up loving it maybe you'll get good enough where it funds more ships for you or you can just keep your standings up enough to get back to high sec run some missions and get some more cheap ships.

Learn about research and production. Setup a highsec POS. By the time you've learned how to run a POS, practical experience doing so, put up with the griefer wardec's and the like from highsec... You'll be ready to move into more dangerous and much more profitable areas such as your own wormhole.
With a wormhole to work, you can run sleeper sites, do the research... so on and so forth but with a bit more risk than you'll have from just highsec living. The risk isn't so huge as to make it unthinkable - a well thought out POS, in a small wormhole, is safer to operate than flying a "juicy target" L4 mission ship in highsec. That leaves only the risks of your ships being popped and, with that kind of income and self-sustaining production ability - it's pretty trivial.
Just use the highsec POS as a test-bed to learn how to set it up and use it - kind of like learning EVE running tutorial agents then experimenting with ships early on. Once you're familiar with it, move to where you can do/make more.
