Let's face it. WH life is one of the last things that truly makes eve great. There are no blobs, no massive 8 hour cta's, it's decent isk, you never know who is watching, and it offers great small scale PvP.
With everyone selling worm holes. Will this eventually lead to all worm holes being occupied and then it will just become survival of the fittest and who has the most guns just like in 0.0? Thoughts?

You can't get super capitals in. It's difficult to even get capitals into lower class systems. Rapid movement by large fleets is not possible.
Most of the wormholes that people are selling, if they are decent, have already been occupied, and abandoned, and occupied again. Some folks find that wormholes suit them long term. A good percentage get bored with it and leave.
Wormholes are fine. The only problem with them is that they are yet another in a long line of features that CCP introduced and never touched again. There haven't been any new T3 ships since the introduction, and there aren't even any currently slated for a planned release.

From CCP Hammer, in the "Devs answer your every question" thread, regarding future T3s:
Quote: The short answer is yes more tech 3 ships are coming. That idea for tech 3 industrials is pretty cool and needs further investigation. The first ships we will most likely do is something smaller than cruisers just so we can cater to the largest audience. Then follow that up with some big mama jama and maybe subsystem targeting. The bad news is these ships likely won't be here until 2014 at the soonest given all the other cool stuff we have planned. The schedule does depend on feedback though so if there is enough demand we could swap things around.
So, they are planned... just not Soon. And why is this in CAOD?

Problem with wormholes is the constant change of exists, witch basically means you can end up from empire to 0.0. Most corps and players cant be asked dealing with the logistic that is involved with having to take care of pos fuel when you never know where next exit point will be. It is probally more risky then living inn 0.0 inn some cases as well since you do not have the local channel to check when the suddan neutral enters your wormhole.
I agree with that they need more ship classes introduced inn the tec3 area, maybe a Frigate class and a battleship class? Even a BC tec3 class would be awesome. If they did i bet more people would be intrested inn living inn them as well.
Shame that they focus on the station walking and all other grammar things inn the game before trying to improve other aspects of the game first. It's the members who make the corp, and not the other way around... |

Oh god 2014 is when the next T3 ships are due out?
If I am still playing this game in 2014, It will mean that I am still a sad, pathetic, shell of a human being living in a basement, sitting in a dark corner snacking on Cheetos, using wet nap to try and get the cheese stains off my fingers, long after the T-shirt I am wearing has hardened due the effects of being used as a cheeto napkin for the last five days. The sweat pants I have on will be cut down to sweat shorts, not because its hot, but because the bottoms have begun to have the smell of spoiled milk after being dragged through my floor covered in mold from McDonalds fries dropped on the floor, Lucky Charm Marsh Mellows ground into the floor, as well as whatever the dark mold stains are from the corner. I will have a mini fridge stocked full of Dr. Pepper and juice boxes, there will be enough to last a week, the perfect amount being purchased through grocery store gift cards given to me by my roomates from upstairs (most likely my mom as my dad would have long sence disowned me after finding out that I was 'dating' the cardboard cutout of the Bud Light beer promo girl that I found in the dumpster behind the gun/alcohol/pawnshop store. Also next to me will me a stash of candy, as well as some emergency shock tarts. Why emergency, well that will be to bring me out of my diabetic shock when my eyes start to roll back into my skull while trying to stay awake running missions to be able to afford the T3 battle ships. The only thing that may seem out of place will be a ash try, as I will have to start smoking due to hopefully by that time being battle hardened EVE Combat Veteran. Quite possibly the worst thing that could possibly happen is mixing up my Dr.Pepper can and the "Pee Can." Never heard of one? Well by 2014 everyone will be flying motherships and titans so instead of actually using gates or JB's you will actually just jump everywhere. The pee bottles will come in handy while you have to wait for 3 hours on comms because the order to jump into combat (coming from someone who is not even logged in because the smart ones got away) may come at any minute. Some people who are really good are actually already using pee bottles, so that the notion of taking a 'bio break' has become a thing of the past.
Any way is this class over? Seriously taking this 2 hour summer class was a terrible idea. If we miss a day we get docked basically a letter grade? Seriously I should just drop this class. But eh its noon now.
Oh yea what was the topic? T3s in 2014? Oh no Wh, yea cool

To touch on this slightly, supercaps theoretically can get into class 6s through extremely rare wormholes that spawn from nullsec(CCP never ever said anywhere they weren't allowed, just mass limitations), they have the mass limitation that allows moms(1.7bil mass max jump), however whether these wh statics actually spawn is another issue. Not to mention it won't be able to go anywhere besides the c6 anyway and it'll probably be stuck for what amounts to eternity.
Capitals can't enter anything below class 5 naturally, they have to be built in those classes. Class 5 and 6 however are much much easier as they can enter through null and lowsec holes which spawn frequently.
You can have large fleets, there are t3 blobs that put anything that PL has fielded in null in complete shame, the mass limitations on the higher classes and t3s means you can fit 200 or so of em and you won't even reduce the wh.

Doing logistics really isn't a problem in a wormhole. You can choose to either pick a wormhole with a static k-space or w-space exit. If you are a small corporation you could find one with low or high sec. Even though you might not end up in Jita every day, it will be no problem to get stuff in. If you on the other hand choose one with a w-space static to improve your isk flow it's still really no problem to roll statics untill you get one with a usefull exit. My small corp manage to cycle a w-space static in about 5 minutes with 3 characters. C5-6 requires some more effort though, but corps living in those tend to need more members to even utilize them, so it tends to be no problem either as long as you know what you are doing.
People tend to be scared of problems that doesn't really exist. And the people that don't manage to fuel their POS would probably fail to fuel it no matter where it is located.
About the no local part of wormholes, it's probably what makes alot of players LOVE wormholes. It rewards the aware player, and stops the easymode risk free gaming that exist in nullsec for carebears.

once the last WH is sold, there will be no more WHs, and thus no more WH life. Most of the sold WHs go to the Ravencrest WoW server. They're an important component in the latest epic craft recipe.
