Please post all problems with connecting to Buckingham into this thread. I'll try to help as much as possible.
Known issues:
- The launcher displays an error, when Buckingham is offline. Workaround: none, try later
- Mac client cannot patch and connect easily. Instructions will be posted later.

The Launcher will display the information of Tranquility, but if you use /server:87.237.38.69 it should connect correctly to Buckingham after starting the client through the Launcher. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Did you use the same client, as you use normally for TQ? If this is the case, then you should be able to revert back to TQ by using a shortcut with /server:87.237.38.200 . To avoid this issue you need to copy the client first before you patch it to a test server. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Instructions for connecting to Buckingham with a Mac can be found now in Evelopedia. Please let me know, if anything is unclear or not working (it worked for me at least with very similar steps). Important is to use the launcher version from Tranquility and not the version from Singularity. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

An unexpected error occurred. Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Applications/EVE Onlinebucky.app/Contents/Resources/launcher.py", line 44, in module File "lib/initialization.pyc", line 138, in StartLauncher File "lib/initialization.pyc", line 70, in InitInfo File "lib/info.pyc", line 150, in GetUpdateServer
Is this with the version 1.32 of the Launcher? If you have a different version, you might be able to revert to 1.32 by using /forceUpdate . CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

open /Applications/EVE\ Onlinebucky.app --args /server:87.237.38.69/forceUpdate
Try following once, to get the TQ version of the launcher, and then go back to the /server version:

The same "fix" as for the Mac should work - start the client once with /forceUpdate. Otherwise it might be easier to just copy the /launcher/ folder from your TQ installation to the Buckingham installation. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

crimsonshank wrote:I am also experiencing the same issue when I log into Buckingham it takes control of my Tranquility launcher. The /Forceupdate command do I put that in my Tq or bucky launcher and do I leave it there permanently?
The only fix I have found so far is running the repair tool on my Tq copy then I can access the normal servers again.
It is important to keep your Tranquility client and your Buckingham client strictly separated, then nothing should happen with your Tranquility client.
/forceUpdate is only needed, when the version of the Launcher is higher than 1.32 - and only once. Keeping this option will slow down the startup of the Launcher, so it should be removed again.
/server:87.237.38.200 (or /server:Tranquility) is needed, if you patched your Tranquility client accidentally to the Buckingham version. It is also only needed once (but it does not hurt to keep this option). Running the repair tool will do the same. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Buckingham is at the moment offline, the daily DT starts at 22:40, but I'm not sure at the moment, when it ends. I'll check it out on Monday and see if we can reduce the lenght of the DT. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Tried force update, etc. nothing seems to kick it over.
Could you check the version of your launcher? Is it v.1.32 or higher? If it is higher, then you need to revert back to v.1.32 - either through copying it from your TQ install (assuming you have v.1.32 there) or through /forceUpdate. What is it doing, when you start it with /forceUpdate - is the launcher updating itself? CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Hell Freeze wrote:Does anybody know why the test server is down so much lately?
Buckingham is currently our main test server for Retribution, which results in a lot of different testing needs (including restarts), small updates and configuration changes. The last downtime was for example for changing the configuration of the server nodes and in a few minutes the daily downtime will start. It takes ages when you click on the 'Enter Game' button, then when I get in I get a grey blank screen..??
Further to what I've said above, from the grey screen it takes several minutes before I enter the game so I have managed to get in, though the game is unusable because of colossal amounts of Lag... I really don't know what your last patch did, but neither my son or I can use the game, it's ridicules..!! I am wait minutes for everything to change or appear that I click on, like tabs or to send a message in the chat, to look in my cargo, change ships or the ship hanger, that's if it opens at all....WTF..!! WHAT HAS GONE WRONG..??
I am unable to analyze what happened with your client without seeing logs from it. Please try first to restart your computer (which might fix the issue) and then send a bugreport from in-game (press F12, the last option) , which will include the needed logs.
