the only backlash is against changing the rate at which an sp can be purchased despite the backlasher not understanding why he is backlashing or what he is backlashing against

this is the simple fact the jealous fearful naysayers can never really understand
SP are bought with time, which you pay for with cash. This limits the available SP to the amount of accounts that HAVE been subscribed. You can't have a sudden influx of SP, and especially not of high SP characters.
The people that rage against direct cash for SP are probably those who have 10 accounts running so that they can train and sell characters. I doubt it is ideological opposition just financial.
Personally these days I am not against micro-transactions as long as everything you can buy can also be gained through time investment. Those games where you need to pay extra or you are gimped are just evil.

edit: apparently CCP set all the attributes to a base of 17 (base of 5 and 12 attribute points you would get from skills) and they just made my 3 charisma into 17 as well instead of 15
so I am one of the few with 121 attribute points (implants not taken into account) and when I remap I will lose 2 of them and be a normal guy with 119

Also, if you can pre-empt what CCP are going to nerf skillpoint wise then this is expolitable... Otherwise you are in the same situation as every other player.
not really I am just a normal archura char with no field maxed so in the long run this is giving me a disadvantage but I don't like the idea of remaps and I just stick with my choices.
anyone remapping can take a much huger benefit of this if they know that ccp is removing skill x wich needs atributes z and y and they got those maxed so they can earn there charisma SP more effectively by training skill x and then redistribute the XP they get back once the skill is removed

I had to wait 8 years to get the skillpoints I have. That's why I don't want some new player to get it instantly. call it what you want, but it's nothing to do with finances for me.
