Hi,
CQ has a very slow frame rate with the default settings on my computer, in the neighborhood of 10 fps. With the same default settings my computer does 60 fps in space.
So I want to set the settings in CQ to a lower value to get a higher frame rate without reducing the rendering quality of in-space.

Get a PC. Laptops arnt meant to run high quality/complex games, let alone it being a MAC =P Get a better Graphics Card/GPU Get a better Processor.
Ive got an ATI Radeon 5990 and an AMD Phenom II 4x Processor, with it i get get 27-34 FPS And at that though, its still in the beta and could use some older cpu/gpu loving~

You know which games run as smooth as butter on my system?
Eve in space Sto Rift Fallen earth World of tanks Lotr Many others
I sort of think that CQ should not be slower then rift. I sort of don't want to buy a new notebook when all the other games work. And no I don't have the room for a PC.

I actually really look forward to incarna. I actually started a female character 6 months ago for it and started trainer her, leaving my other character pretty much alone.
To be completely accurate I do not complain to much that the 3D environment runs at 10 fps. But I am complaining about: - The 10 seconds it takes to open the fitting screen. - Drag and drop not registering my drags or drops (so failing to move stuff, or even moving windows around the screen) - Chat window not being able to keep up with what I type.
There are two simple ways to solve this issue: 1. Separate settings for space and incarna. 2. A "do not load station environment" setting (which I do not really want, because I want to play incarna). a. With an "exit pod" to manually go into CQ.
If they fix the shaders to make incarna smooth as butter between the situation on duality and when it will be released, then I swallow my words.
It is just that the day for the production version is getting close. And why do you think they put it on duality? Maybe so that people can report issues? Like not being able to use the station environment with a 3 year old computer.

This is a very good idea, what would also be good is Different window position's (so you can arrange your windows differently in space and in incarna) on the off chance that where a good place to put them while your in space, or in your hanger might not a be a good place while walking around. Oh and making CQ happen after docking in the hanger, not instead of docking in the hanger.

Get a better attitude.
Seperate shader settings are definetely needed. Most people will have to reduce their settings while in CQ to make the gameplay more enjoyable (in some cases even playable). Having to go back and change the settings each time you undock is an unnecessary complication.
Make it happen so, there should be two different tabs both containing all the settings. One for in-space and one for CQ/Incarna/out of pod.

And not always to make the graphix settings in CQ LOWER. I might want to have CQ on max settings and space on lower settings to reduce client lag in fleet fights (for example) __________________________________________________
