Hopefully they will change their mind but I don't see it happening anytime soon
did you read the dev blog?...at all?
I'm well aware of their propaganda. I'm also well aware that CCP historically make promises and then just drop support for content. 4-5 months is enough of a hiatus.

Here's an example of a story that was started, and never finished. The CDIA files on Sansha. What about the other pirate factions? Where's the video for Fatal and the Rabbit? WHAT ABOUT THE NEWS FEED? More story's and detail left untold.

Eve fiction is dead.
Since the patch where they introduced the new character editor all characters in Eve look like 21st century yuppies. Since we don't even have any actual races anymore none of the old backstory makes the slightest sense.
The chances of CCP fixing that or even giving a damn are precisely zero.

Never the less, I'll bump this thread everyday till someone from CCP tells us what the true story with the stories are.

I hold out little hope that CCP will say anything about this missing content. What have they said about the most glitch ridden patch in EVE online's history? Nothing. All I can hope to do is beat the drum and stir up some support.

Couldn't say it better.
Can a dev (dropbear, I'm looking at you) stop by and tell us how the Chronicles/News Feed/Live Events are advancing. Saying 'We hope to see them in the future.." is not an answer. Will we see Eve's fiction restored with Incarna? Will everyone in my corp stop calling me a pirate geek for giving two ***** about the topics mentioned above?
All these questions and more answered some time possibly hopefully in a round about time frame of two to three years hope to see them in the future after DUST!

that was made specifically for just the sansha as it was for Incursion
In fact, the very existence of this video shows that they haven't left the fiction behind. It explained to the newbs that didn't already know about who or what sansha was why they were attacking, why Kuvakei wanted revenge, and why he and his faction considered outlaws in the first place.

Here's what you're missing: There has been no filler. There has been a beginning and there will be an end, but there has been nothing in-between. There has been no live events, no news feeds, and no Chronicles following the events of the Sansha Incursions. What was the point? What does Sansha want? How close is he to his goals? The video is 8 months old, hardly new material. The video just explains (vaguely) Sansha's past. Ok, he wants to enslave us. He wants his Nation rebuilt. He wants revenge... BUT, there has to more to it then that. Easy examples of a story left untold is: How in New Edan does Sansha make those wormholes? Where did he get the tech form? What part do the Jove play in this? How is this effecting the masses of New Edan? Are people still being abducted on mass? Is there a new threat on the horizon from a much more sinister source? And last question because I'm tired of typing and want to play the game rather then bump my thread one more time: Where has Sansha been all these years? Considering that the events that lead to the Nations's downfall occurred well over 100 years ago, he looked pretty spry for being 130 years plus in the video. (Thus confirming that Sansha was in fact killed by the Empire's when they attacked and is a clone.)
And that's just the questions for the Incursions. How about he Drones/Sleepers? Don't tell me they were just cannon fodder to introduce wormholes in Apocrypha.

Jove teleporting himself to bits and needs to be collected again from all over space. Secrets and rewards promised. - And then silence.
Drone regions opened up. Artificial intelligence festering almost uncontrolled in vast regions of space. - And then silence.
The empires go to war with a bang. A whole novel released to flesh out the backgrounds, a new region is unveiled, capsuleers get recruited into militias to do the fighting in space. Millions dead and worlds ravaged. - And then silence.
Wormholes open up, stars fry planets, remnants of ancient civilization found, secrets and mysteries on what brought them down and what they are. - And then silence.
Sansha's coming back with jove tech, ravaging the empires through wormhole entrances, devestating planets, abducting millions to be turned into zombie slaves, desperate struggle against a continous onslaught of endless enemies. - And then silence.

Spot on. This is exactly what I'm talking about. At least then the News feed still rolled out some of the story.. but it moves on to other bits ignoring everything like it never happened. WTF is going on?

As far as the chronicles and news feeds go (and that's all I can comment on - Incursion, events and such are under the aegis of other in-house peeps), the people who used to write them are now hip-deep in the Immersion Project. I probably should've been more diligent about posting updates over the past few months, but basically, the EVElopedia part of the project - which we're implementing on an in-house server at the moment - is moving along really well. (You've all read the dev blog I wrote on this, and that Xercodo already linked to, right?) We're not ready to show it to you guys yet, but right now we've basically extracted the data from all the chronicles and are working on a) implementing it all on the wiki and b) filling in some gaps in the canon. I'm not going to reveal even the suspicion I have of an ETA for beta release, because those things take on a life of their own, but we're at the stage where I do have an idea of when we'll be ready.

Why does it need more or less angry posts on GD to ask for small updates on stuff like this all the time with you guys? Don't you do internal showcases and updates to the higher ups in the company from time to time? Would it be too much to ask to provide some bites and pieces of these updates to the community? Doesn't need to be a full fledged dev blog.. but as you can see, 6 months go by very fast and people would like to get some:
Quote: We're still alive and this is what we'd been doing the last two months: made this, made that. Fly safe and toodles Generic DEV
This goes to all of you guys at CCP. Is there some internal update on statuses of teams at work at all at CCP? I mean, there must be, or how are the higher ups keeping track of things.. or better, how they are kept in the loop? Well, looks it all boils down to us wanting more info on stuf happening over there. Cheers

Very good to hear, and I bet lots of people look forward to what you guys can dish out. I am very interested in the "gaps of the canon" and how you are filling them. Being an avid Amarr roleplayer since the game launched and even before that (who wants to be anything else but a golden hulled pilot/slavetrader anyway).
although its a little worrying that one of the IP guys perhaps "the" IP guy doesn't have an actual in game portrait.

Yeah, I just made my portrait today. My old, ugly character looked more like me, tbh.
At this stage, what I call the "canon gaps" are basically topics that crop up in other wiki articles but either don't yet have entries of their own, or have entries that are way too short given their subjects. Those subjects may be anything from, say, the Nefantar tribe, to Aura.
Note that as per this definition, "canon gaps" will not, and is not meant to, equate to anyone's definition of "wot fiction I want to see more of" - including Sleepers or Jove. What we're doing is not adding brand new canon on subjects that are still in development, but taking what we've already published over the last several years (including the, Christ, nearly hundred short stories I wrote, and the other hundred published by various other talented authors), whipping it into Wiki shape, and filling it out a bit where needed.

Nice to hear all of that, and the fact that there are now Dust chronicles (a rather good one in fact) makes this thread even more relevant.
But I do like others allready requested hope to hear more from the ingame incorperation of all this info exactly like your blog recounted to us.

Really looking forward to seeing the updated wiki. I've been a massive fan of the EVE Chronicles and EVE lore in general since the moment I paid for my first account and have followed it avidly for the last 6 years.
I have to agree with my fellow podder up there with regards to getting more frequent updates on these things, and on the progress of EVE in general. I'm aware that you don't HAVE to, but it would nice if you did.
