EVE Online: Incursion 1.6 has been deployed. This release includes updates to the CarbonUI as discussed in this dev blog by CCP Snorlax. Please check the patch notes for full details of this release.
When reporting issues, please specify which client you are using (Mac or PC). This thread is for reporting issues only; for general feedback please use the feedback thread.
Known Issues:
- There is a known issue with T3 ships that you have previously viewed. These ships have engaged their reverse thrusters causing them fly backwards. Clearing your cache will reset their on-board computer and cause them to fly in the correct direction again.

For those of you experiencing issues installing the patch:
- remove the file from the bin folder and run the repair tool
If that does not work, please post the client version you are attempting to patch from here, so that we can investigate the issue further

Originally by: Raz Lictor Session change timer isn't appearing. Checked my client to make sure the setting was still enabled in the esc menu since anti-aliasing was for some reason disabled by the patch. Show session change timer still enabled but it's not showing up.
It's moved to the upper-right corner of the system info.

Alt-Shift-Q brings up the Quit dialog box as expected.
Clicking YES does not exit the game, just returns me to the view of my ship floating serenely in the hangar. Tried it about 4 times and same result each time.
Quitting works from the ESC menu, clicking Quit Game and then YES to the Quit dialog box, game shuts down as expected.
Even the simplest stuff can break when you re-do the whole UI.
Which client are you using? I had no problem in the Windows client.

Which file? I've got 47 items in there including two folders, not to mention non of them where modified today.
the error message you receive tells you the name of the file that should be moved.

Reporting same problem with alt character, main logs in correctly. "Entering station", "setup station: etc" loading bar remains stuck near the end.
Tried "clear all cache files" from the esc menu but no good.
Could you file a bug report with a Logserver so we can investigate this?
A guide can be found here.

Make sure you clear your cache, this is to do with a lot of texture reworking that went on, clearing your cache will fix the issue.

Originally by: Abbah Where can I find the off line installer? The link from the downloads page doesn't work. I tried the patch and it would not work so I uninstalled all my clients and tried to reinstall using the online installer and that failed and wanted to do a repair and that's taking forever. I don't want to do that for my 3 other clients. Help...
Well I ran the repair and the online installer came back with the same message," The downloaded data package seems to be corrupt, do you want to have the repair tool attempt to fix the data package... I said no this time and this is what came up: Validation failed. Expected checksum is 53d17254ebdfcd0c4a25013e6cae87a3 but was af6ada5852567c8fc769b01b85777e62
Remove, move, or rename the file that is causing the issue in the \bin directory, and then run the repair tool again. This should resolve your issue.

You know what... this is no longer a bug!
Okay, seriously. After the patch, I noticed this and cleared the cache. Restarted the client and this was still in effect.
Please file a bug-report with a DxDiag and logserver so we can investigate this issue.

Originally by: Nick Danger Same here.
Hotkeys now work this way -- to 'warp to' we have to hold down S then mouseclick on the target, then it works (same with Jumping/etc.).
The new method is hardly an UI improvement, as it adds more clicking.
Please to revert this 'improvement' :)
Originally by: Poetic Stanziel Hotkeys are not working. (I have confirmed that they do work for other people in my corp.)
If I click a stargate in the overview and press A (Align To), S (Warp To), the function is not performed. My hotkeys are still set in Settings. And the explanatory text that pops up when I press those keys still appears.
D (Dock) does not work either, if I have a dockable feature (such as a station) selected.
I am running Windows 7 64-bit.
This is about all the information I can think to supply concerning the problem.
(This is annoying, and will make blockade running more difficult, since this is my main mode of getting about in Eve, using those hotkeys, using the mouse alone takes too long.)
We're looking into it

--------------------------- Verification Failure --------------------------- Your EVE client installation may have modified, damaged or corrupt files. Please run repair.exe located in the EVE game directory or re-install the game client. Bad manifest signature, timestamp "2009.02.25 10:35:34", expected "2011.01.11 09:50:16"
Can you check the shortcut you use to start EVE and make sure that the "Start in" directory is identical to the directory the client they start is actually installed in? If not you can get the Bad Manifest error.
A quick way to fix this is to just create a new shortcut.

Originally by: Sol epoch Edited by: Sol epoch on 01/06/2011 00:27:22 After the patch I don't even get to the login screen as it says eve.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close! Reinstalled the client and all ok but after patching same issue. Repair does not solve the issue either.I have filed a petition as reinstalling a fresh client all day does not a happy person make!, Maybe I should just give up Eve as I ain't paying for something that doesn't work.
the listed file(s) should be removed or deleted from the \bin folder, then rerun the repair tool, as indicated in the first post. If that works, please close your petition; if that doesn't work, you can update your petition with these additional steps that you took.

Originally by: WCPistolPete Transparency on HUD and brackets is NOT a good idea for the reasons detailed by others. Can't see Cap levels against light backgrounds. Red [ and ] in overview sometimes look orange or yellow depending upon background color. Not good when you want to primary only the targets that are close enough to engage with their weapons. Yellow [ and ] around targets in space sometimes also appears orange leading to the same confusion: Is that target in it's weapons range or not? Again all appear to be related to the new transparency of the HUD.
Confirming PI is still messed up. I have 5 installations all extracting and processing the same materials. Three planets work with no problem. I had to move extractors only a few pixels to fix planet #4. Planet #5 yield is broken for suspended plasma. Cleared cache and restarted client with no success. Planets 1 and 2 in system #1. Planet 3 in system #2, planets 4 and 5 in system #3.
Shift-enter not working in chat: Confirmed. Still not working. Backwards Cap in fitting window: Confirmed. Still backwards.
CCP are you listening? This is my first post about patch problems in an issues thread in six years. Quality control definitely missed the boat on this one. Removing transparency from HUD icons should be your first priority. All others sit equally for me.
And make the Message window here in the forums scroll properly. Once text goes past the bottom edge it keeps scrolling to the top instead of staying at the cursor position. Stop typing, scroll down to check spelling, type another letter only to have it scroll back to the top. From what I remember it's been that way for almost six years.
Thanks for reporting, yes we are listening, the issues that you list are confirmed as known issues and we are working as fast as we can to resolve them.
(The forum team is working on the new forums, they are not a part of this update)

Originally by: Aaron West CCP please acknowledge that PI is broken and that clearing the cache does not resolve the issue! Please provide progress on identifying the root cause of the issue and estimated timescales to resolving it.
I understand you are all firefighting at the moment! however, some clear communication from your side would be appreciated and reassure the user base that you are addressing the issues!
Keep up the good work.

Regarding crash issues we are still working on them. By nature crash issues are often configuration specific and hard to reproduce. Detailed bug reports including dxdiag and logserver logs are therefore very valuable to us, and I want to thank those who have taken the time to submit reports. With the help of those reports we have some fixes in the pipelines, we are treating these issues with high priority and hope to address them in the next client patch.

Originally by: Adrian Dixon After this 3rd update to 1.6 Friday 3-june-2011, my game freezes on "entering station" and "setting up station" every single time I attempt to login. I have tried to log on over twenty times and cannot, I have cleared the cache and used repair several times. Windows vista 64bit, all latest drivers. I will try reinstalling the game.
I can not play the game at all anymore.
If you are having freeze issues, try clearing your settings folder (take a backup or rename if you don't want to lose all your settings).

Originally by: Darin Ahan Parmana Edited by: Darin Ahan Parmana on 03/06/2011 17:26:47 I've encounter two issues with portraits post-1.6:
- After (re)making a photograph, upon entering the game, sometimes the background image of the portrait has black squares in the render. Clearing the cache does not resolve this.
- Clearing the cache after a re-customization may revert the portrait to the state before the re-customization: all changes appear to be lost.
After re-customization, the client renders a new portrait and stores it in cache until the image server has a new server-rendered portrait ready. Therefore, if you clear your cache, you will delete your temporary portrait from the cache and revert to the previous portrait until a new one is ready on the server.
The black squares that you see, are they in your local client-rendered portrait? Do you know if other players see it in this way as well?

The locking behavior of meta keys is a known issue that will be fixed. The recent server crash was due to a DB hardware issue and is unrelated to the Incursion 1.6 release.

My bug report was filtered as "attached to defect"
...
In the world of service - that usually means it has been tied to an internal tracking system the dev's use to track issues they are working. As well, it helps gather up all the reported behavior to better attack the problem and makes it easy to resolve (close out) all the related customer tickets (petitions).
This is a pretty accurate interpretation. Also, in large part thanks to information from the bug reports, we believe we have identified the causes for the reported crash issues and we hope to have these issues resolved early this week.

This issue has not yet been acknowledged or addressed and there has been no response to my petition
I live in 0.0 so local window is always open so that I can see who is in local, however I don't like to see the local chat text, so I close this off as much as I can, in doing so it now makes the text flash in the chat box when the chat box is full
Hey,
I just saw this post and I've reproduced the issue. I found that a workaround is to increase the width of the chat pane by a tiny amount (just one pixel seems to do work for me.)
Hopefully that will make things less flashy and annoying for you while we fix this properly :)
