EVE Online: Incursion 1.6 has been deployed. This release includes updates to the CarbonUI as discussed in this dev blog by CCP Snorlax. Please check the patch notes for full details of this release.
We hope you enjoy this latest release and we encourage you to provide us with feedback. There is a known issue with T3 ships that you have previously viewed. These ships have engaged their reverse thrusters causing them fly backwards. Clearing your cache will reset their on-board computer and cause them to fly in the correct direction again. Please note that any issues you may encounter with this patch should be directed to the Incursion 1.6 Issues Thread.

Originally by: Luminocity While in solar system map view (where one drags scanner probes around to position them), clicking on probe names in space no longer focuses the view to the probe in question. Please fix.
This has been fixed and will be deployed tomorrow. You can see the Incursion 1.6 issues thread for more information.

Originally by: Sol epoch Well CCP can I please have an answer to my petition and an indication when I can get a working version of EVE as I have not been able to login since the patch was deployed yesterday!
Can you be more specific please, are you not able to log in or not able to select a character? What happens, does the client crash or is it stuck somewhere or what happens? Have you got a logserver log? Sorry if you've supplied all this before, but I'm investigating a specific potential issue and am wondering if that's what you're experiencing.

What about I have been unable to login since the patch was deployed do you not understand? EVE.exe has experienced a problem and has to close????????? Please check my petition as I have said it enough. I have just come off the phone to a friend who works for one of the Tech magazines here and he has had a few people complaining and wants me to list all thats happened so far!with my experience of this.
I'm sorry but I am not a GM so I don't have access to petitions. But you've already given me more information than I had before, "EVE.exe has experienced a problem and has to close". Does this happen before you even log in, or are you able to log in and then this happens when you select your character? Also a log file might be very useful in figuring out the cause of the problem you're experiencing.

Originally by: Sol epoch Ok I have a log now what do I do? And no I cannot even get to the login screen.
I guess the easiest way is if you could attach it to a bug report, mention my name in there to make sure it gets to me quickly. Thanks :)

Hmmm... it looks like a problem with the graphics card, what type of card do you have? Can you attach a dxdiag as well please.

Sol epoch - it means the issue has been assigned to a programmer to investigate and work on, there isn't a known issue with that graphics card so at this point we don't know what the problem is. While we investigate, you could try deleting (renaming) your settings folder and see if that helps.
Aaron West - thanks, we are aware of the PI issue and treating it as high priority.

Settings folder? where is that? But more to the point is that you have no idea why I cannot logon or when a possible workaround/fix might be available? I should just keep paying for something I can no longer use Eh? Oh! I see PI is a priority but getting your paying public back online and might get fixed is not? just delete and rename my settings file see if it helps well damn it it doesn't. You just lost me as I will take my money elsewhere, As customer service goes this has been pathetic.
The settings folder is typically (on Vista/Win7) located in c:\users\[yourname]\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_tranquility The reason I think that might solve your problem is that it will set all graphics settings back to default, there may somehow be something in your settings that is now preventing your client from starting up.

Thank you for your continued patience with regard to the Planetary Interaction issue. This critical problem is the number one priority in our list of fallout from the 1.6 deployment on Tuesday.
We have a fix in the pipeline that will be deployed during today's downtime, we strongly urge all players to download this update when prompted to avoid any further strangeness with Planetary Interaction.

I also am not able to login anymore, but it started only one or two days ago. However, I tried quite a lot of things, and focused mainly on resetting caches (EVE and OS caches) because I believed it had to do with the graphics card.
But now, after reading the discussion here, I checked my settings folder on disk, and found out that beginning with the Incursion 1.6 patch, one specific file started gowing rapidly. This file obviously contains an endless bunch of settings I do not really understand. It seems to be the main settings file. I make daily backups on my mac, so I could compare this file to the one before the patch, and to much earlier ones.
The file name is "core_user_541278946.dat" (don't know what the numbers mean, so I changed them here). This file grew from 300 KB before the patch (and maybe 150 KB half a year ago) to 1 MB within the last three days.
Within the content of the file there is one main difference since the patch: This file now suddenly contains some kind of solar system data which is not related to my settings. Most of it is information about systems I travelled through (or maybe only viewed with the info panel since the patch).
Here is an example:
Quote: NO QUOTE
EDIT: Ooops, this content shreds the quote, maybe because of the real weird character strings it has. OK, so no example. Sorry.
So, it looks like some mechanism is making entries into the settings file, where it does not belong (or does it?).
Have to mention that I don't game much, so maybe that's why others had the issue directly after the patch, because they travel much more than me.
Hope I could help. I guess you already know this all.
I'll try to make a bug report and attach the files. Never did that before.
Thank you, that sounds interesting. I hope you manage to file the bug report and I'll make sure we look into it.
