Yeah, game is pretty much unplayable for me at the moment. The client crashes when I undock or use a gate. No useful error message, this was what I was able to pull from the event viewer.
This only started happening after the latest patch, of course. =/

Same issue. Windows 7 x64, pl language version.
Same stuff in event viewer.
NVIDIA graphics (GeForce 470).
Happened to me 3 times today (considering that I was playing for like 30 minutes, that's a lot), last 2 times in a row basically (2nd crash 1minute after the 1st one), everytime on autopilot just after a jump through gate.

My problems are only when the client is not in the forefront. If it's in the background (i.e. I'm browsing the Eve forums in the foreground), whether it's in windowed mode or fullscreen mode, it will die during jump-changes. If I leave it in the forefront, it won't crash.

Same issue, multiple computers with dissimilar hardware. Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Same error message when jumping. Happens when EVE client is minimized.

Almost every gate jump I do i crash, I have windows 7 premium x 64 bit and some inlet HD on board graphics. No problems with the game what so ever until this patch hit.

Same problem for me, started after update, autopilot jumps when running in background cause crash. Yesterday it was intermittent, today it is every freakin jump. Problem goes away when EVE is in foreground. WinXP, GeForce 9800GT.

I made a bug report, so hopefully something happens. I'm just glad I'm not the only one having this issue. I have been playing in full screen with only one client.

Tried running in windowed mode, no change. The client crashes regardless of it being on the top.
I have also noticed that when changing sessions, sometimes instead of crashing, the screen flashes black a few times and then loads normally.
Got a dump file and added that to the bug report. Some feedback from CCP would be nice, as the game is still pretty much unplayable for me, other than station trading. =/

I tried to uninstal the lastest patch to see if it changed anything...it made no difference...everytime i autopilot it crashes within 3 jumps.
Lets hope it gets fixed before the 21st.

Same problem, Windows 7 using a Dell 4310 laptop (work one). My issue is that the graphics driver crashes and re-initialises on most session changes.
I did the logserver and dxdiag thing but when I tried to upload it, got a 500 Internal Server error on the bugreport page. Couldn't really be bothered re-entering all the description/text after that.

I too have this problem after the recent patch. I petitioned it and was told to clear cache, which didn't help. I hope they fix it...EVE is unplayable for me at this time.

i can't even get to a gate, when the game launchess, it crashes immediatly and back to desktop "...stopped working.."

Some other thread related to the same topic suggested making sure you were completely up to date in terms of windows updates, I did that today and it made no difference. Still crash random but frequently while jumping.

I am experiencing crashes as well. All began with the last 1.6 patch, since that my client has crashed like dozen times, on both of my computers. 1 computer runs on win7-32 and second one on win7-64, both have nVidia based graphic cards. The game starts to be unplayable, autopilot is useless  I hope they fix it soon.

Update: from what I can determine, the client ONLY crashes when jumping. I played for several hours last night crash-free, and minimized the client while warping between gates. However, I made sure to always maximize the client during jumps.
If the client is minimized while jumping, it crashes.

Wish that was the case for me. Mine crashes when jumping regardless of the window being minimized or not. =/

this is rather strange, I have had some crashes like that since the #3 mini patch, but it doesn't happen every time a session changes, I tryed to re-create what happend the other 3 times but it just seems to be random, when it happens for me, but for you it happens every time

Add another mention of this issue, on two different computers (one WinXP-32bit with ATI video, one Vista-64bit with nVidia video). It's kind of annoying when you want to just set something to travel that isn't worth ganking and put focus elsewhere...

glad i found this. i've gotten this 5 times today. each time when i'm jumping a gate when EVE is not the main window open. I use fixed windowed.
never had this problem before 1.6
windows 7 64 bit.

Appears to be an auto-pilot crash.
Manual flying i.e. Warp to Zero and Manual Jump, does not crash client. Auto-pilot crashes every time.
I also have EXEfile size bloating to 800mb plus when undocked and traveling on auto-pilot. Staying docked keeps it inside 500mb in Windows 7 64-bit, and inside 350mb in WinXP 32-bit.

I'm having this exact same problem. Gates are the most common reason why it crashes, nearly every single gate I go through, but jump bridges have caused it, undocking did it once, and using a Black Ops jump bridge did it once. Getting annoying now, it would be nice to at least receive a response.

So according to new observations, this problem appears on my computers only when I have EVE minimized on windows tray and flying on autopilot...I tried to even download whole new client installation and reinstall, but nothing helps. And petition still unanswered :-[
After gate jump on autopilot with eve minimized the client crashes, mouse or touchpad gets frozen and thats all...

It has just occurred to me that EVE being flaky started after Windows updated and installed service pack 1 (windows 7 64-bit BTW). I've just tried eve again with compatibility set to windows 7 and it's *better* thatn it was. It still crashes if I change graphics options but at least I can log in now, I had got to the stage of not even being able to get past the character select screen.
Anyone else want to try this and see if it helps

Question for you guys, have you tried clearing you cache settings? That fixed the problem for me. Or it seems to have anyway, as my client hasn't crashed since I did it yesterday

Oh yeah,
after 6 month absence i thought i'd have a look back into eve - and all happens is a crash as soon as i undock, klick on something in the overview or do anything else.

Just tried this and it seemed to work for a lil bit, but I ended up crashing after 20 or so jumps.
not alt+Tabbed or anything. GOt my hopes up for a lil there. :(

And clean my cache everyday as run my antivirus with last definitions.
Not just the CTDs that makes impossible the gameplay but also jerking images that I had not before.
They are missing something.

Been getting random CTD's today. It seems to happen when I'm running Eve in windowed mode. It doesn't seem to be tied to any specific in-game event (had it just sitting in space doing nothing and also when docked).

I would just like to add that I too am experiencing this issue.
Seems to happen when I am tabbed out of game and jumping through a gate. E.g AFK traveling in empire whilst eve is minimised.
Have not had any problems while I have been active with the client maximised.

yes I too am experiencing crashes after jumping through gates and its random at times once an hour, once every 3 hours or 3 times in 15 minutes with the message CCP ExeFile has stopped working windows will notify you if a solution is availible..I have windows 7 on my laptop..

Same for me running vista and a geforce. Been occasionally getting a Data execution preventable msg. apparently skynet hates eve running multiple accounts and alt tabbing.

Mine happens consistently when jumping gates when I have two clients running. When I have just one, it happens occasionally. "CCP.exe has stopped running" is all I see.

Using Eve for almost a month now but those random crashes when Jumping or Departing from a station are annoying....

Looks like the next update to the Incursion 1.6 patch is supposed to fix it.

let's hope so, because mine crashed everytime i logged in, after few seconds, even docked at a station... not just when i jump or warp (if only i could)
waiting now for the server to start up and try this patch's patch...

It hasnt fixed it, its still doing exactly the same thing for me and plenty of others I have spoken to.

I'm playing EVE using two windows switching between them from time to time. since the recent pack I'm experiencing crashes of my second client on a regular basis, lucky if I jump 5 gates. It's freaking annoying as hell. I can't even haul stuff not talking pvping using my second alt.
Even though I'm looking forward to expansion pack, I fear them coming !!! More extensive testing needs to be done before letting it live. Come on! It takes u forever to fix it ! Last patch didn't fix crashes as promised !!! rediculous

Run a logserver, submit a bug report, do whatever it takes so you can reproduce a crash and send it to CCP and maybe they can find a fix to the problem. The forum posts may help and at least us players can see others are having the same problem but bug reports are the direct way to a fix.

lols i resinstalled windows on another HD cause i thought it was my hardrive that was screwed.
Now i cant install tranq. corrupt files message keep popping up. CCP needs to fix this asap, my chars need new skills in que, and not able to play a game i pay for :(

Would be kewl if you guys could read my topic about the crash triggers in 1.6.1 issues thread and add scenarios if they differ from the ones already listed.
The actual cause for crash is pretty much here, but it doens't seem to be enough to solve the issue.
