The last 3-4 days I've been unsuccessful in logging onto singularity.
Using eve-offline, or chruker (http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php)
I see that it says Singularity is online, with varying numbers of players at different times of the day as usual.
When I try to do a tracepath, I see something like this:
6: ae-6-6.ebr2.SanJose1.Level3.net 14.994ms 7: ae-82-82.csw3.SanJose1.Level3.net 18.639ms 8: ae-81-81.ebr1.SanJose1.Level3.net 15.669ms 9: ae-2-2.ebr2.NewYork1.Level3.net 88.539ms 10: ae-82-82.csw3.NewYork1.Level3.net 90.240ms 11: ae-71-71.ebr1.NewYork1.Level3.net 90.247ms 12: ae-43-43.ebr2.London1.Level3.net 153.706ms 13: ae-25-52.car5.London1.Level3.net 157.334ms 14: PACKET-EXCH.car5.London1.Level3.net 222.630ms 15: 248.36.237.87.rev.ccp.cc 157.549ms 16: no reply 17: no reply 18: no reply 19: no reply
etc...
Is it down or up?

Bumping to the top.
I was able to get a new patch today, chruker.dk sisi status says good, but I'm still unable to log into Sisi (Status: unknown)
I am able to log into TQ and I do get a valid Duality connection even though it isnt accepting user connections with this same machine.
No one has a clue?

As a quick follow up.. Log Server says the socket is closed:

Always socket closed, or dead socket on each attempt. No errors like this with TQ or Duality.
Anyway, thanks for looking

When I start up the Sisi Launcher tool i get the following message:
Unable to retrieve server build number. EVE Online, including its associated official websites and services might be down for maintenance. Please visit http://www.eveonline.com for further information.
What does this mean?

Tried updating to participate in mass test. Update procedure kept failing. Was using the Sisi updater. Update would download. But would fail every time. Restarting would get partway through, then would fail again. I ran out of time and got tired of restarting and downloading the same data so gave up.

I downloaded the new SiSi launcher and Singularity worked. Last time I tried updating a miserable failure occurred due to the fact my laptop's windows installer is permanently broken. My error was with an older SiSi launcher. For anyone not using the new SiSi launcher try that.

Edited by: Soldarius on 08/06/2011 21:51:12 Update: still having the same error. I managed to get a complete update through persistence and repeatedly running the updater. But when I tried to log in, client give me an incompatible build status even though I'm running the latest SiSi build.
I saw the post above about the new updater so went and downloaded that, only to find that it is the same version as the one I already have. For S&Gs, I ran it anyway, and the darn thing started updating anyway, even getting to 7/8 and installing updates.
Then it failed just the same as before. Log:

I dont have any problems patching. Using latest SisiLauncher, I've got the correct listed version. However, sockets are being closed or reset when trying to log into Singularity.
I have access to 3 different ISPs (DSL, CABLE, FIBER) in my local area, the same error occurs with each ISP (using more than one computer.)
Still no insight?
I'd love to help test.
