Oh, interesting. I was unaware of the relationship. The odd thing is that I saw very little ghosting on my PvP toon (that experiences a ton of CTRL-clicking) and moreso on the alt that is not involved in any CTRL-clicking activities.
Anyways, time will tell on the fix.
It should also fix the approach issue for alt-tabbers. If the alt key sticks then when you alt-tab back to your other player then you have a 'stuck alt key' + one mouse click = approach. {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |

They are a company selling software to use and we kindly buy gametime ie rent their software
1. with each additional resource added to eve there is the possibility of causing problems with user pc setups and hardware 2. Q&A or testing omg how narrowminded some people are... 2.a How many CPU speeds/cores are there/ Variations in ram Speed size / harddrive access times RPM / audiodrivers /Gfx drivers 2.b there are billions of possible pc/hardware setups EVE wouldnt even be a demo if it was testing against all possible kits. There is one answer keep up with Tech stop trying to budget build pc's and give DEV's the good tools to work with
3. but also backwards flying TECH III omg someone should get a slap for that one :)
I get it now. Everyone's computers went to **** during patch time. It's not CCP's fault at all.
In the rest of the software world: Installing something that breaks your computer/application is followed by an uninstall.
I'm still waiting for CCP to replace my GeForce 7950GS that they blew up years ago with bad graphic programming. A fault that they admiited to on the forum. {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |

I would really like to see a simple clickable icon added to pilot portraits to indicate "AFK" status, at least in some channels such as Corp channels, private convo's and private channels.
I believe something to this effect actually ranked reasonably high in that last "open source" poll that the CSM conducted...
thank you.
That used to be called the "Watch List". Something that was horribly pared down over a year ago along with folders in the contact list. Many *****ed when the folders were eliminated and the maximum number of watched players was dropped to 300. A corp or alliance that was serious about intelligence lost everything on the day that change occurred. Possible war targets, actual war targets, friend, etc. could be watched with their names placed in folders named after the corp/alliance or any name that was convenient. I myself had over 150 folders with the names of known ISK farmer corps. In each folder were the known members, spies and any friendlies to the corp.
The day of the change I logged in to find all players now sorted by standing and the watchlist/contact list size maxed out at 300. My 6100 entries were now arranged in 145 pages of names sorted alphabetically. Only the latest war targets were easy to find as I still had a list in notepad.
Many larger corporations and alliances screamed at this change but, much like the saved fitting nerf, probe nerf, etc. etc. this had to be an attempt to pare down the database and keep it manageable. My contact list remains stuck at about at 5500+ as there is no easy way to export the list or resort it by corp. Currently I've devolved to recording notes in the player's info tab until something better comes along or CCP nerfs the info tab (next patch I'm sure.)

does anyone know why did CCP choose 11:00am as the start of downtime??not 10 or 9 or some other times???
Second patch in 2 weeks on my only free afternoon starting at the exact time I get home. Some people have to get screwed, right?
As for a non-troll response, the servers are in London, it's hamster work hours at 11 am.
There are a handful of dedicated players that CCP monitors. Log in time, log off time, hours played, hours AFK. They then correlate that information with easily searchable internet records to find the most inconvenient time to drop the server for extended/emergency downtime/patching.
And I've noticed we have the same shift/days off when referenced to UTC. {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |

Fixed spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors. You're welcome. Can't fix your attitude without a bullet. CCP: We need another patch. {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |

13:12 EVE/UTC time. Clock fail on your part. Just above the text in your post is the EVE/UTC time. Learn it, live it, love it. Just over 15 mintues before CCP extends the extended downtime. {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |

If you're reading CCP (I know you are) I vote for that too. 2 hour change every week perhaps. I know you all work in London but it is a game played globally. Would be fairer for gameplay issues as well as just "DT is annoying in my playing hours" reason.
Interesting proposal. +1 vote, +10K innernetz pointz.
Would also add to check the holiday calender and NOT do extended DT patches within 24 hours on either side of said holiday unless it's an emergency exploit fix. {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |

The game is usually running 23 hours a day. What the hell do you think CCP does if there's a database crash at 4 AM their time? There is obviously staff in the building. And since it's most likely database staff a simple DT for database maintenance can be done any time of day. I doubt the entrie staff rolls out of the building at 11:00 UTC and then returns at 11:30 UTC. However, that might explain the need for extended DTs. The line at the coffee shop was just too long.
-1 troll points to you, sir.

You ASSume way too much here.
11:00-11:30 UTC = 7-7:30 AM Eastern Daylight. East Coast, Central and hell even Mountain and Pacific guys (and girls) will be awake depending upon work/family/party schedules. If it's a day off meant/reserved for playing EVE then it's a big loss. I work a flexible schedule but still get up early enough every day to get at least an hour of time on the server before DT.

You have an option to observe the session changes, doing it can be helpful. The simultaneous change coupled with any Internet issue you have, or if your Internet cant handle it properly, will result in a crash.
:) i have i7 860, 5770 ATI card, 8GB RAM, 1000 GB Drive, Win 7 64 Home Premium, Comcast [ISP], hardwired to my router, can easily stream Netflix to 2 PCs and still play Eve without skipping a bit, both clients barely utilizes 10% of the CPU, and on average i can't even use more than 20% of my CPU in normal use and just below 50% of my RAM, so i don't really think that's an issue on my internet connection or my system :))
Furthermore, if it was the case, why won't it crash when i warp to 0 [manual]? even with 2 clients, as long as i warp to 0, i don't seem to crash, maybe i just don't linger that long near gates to get the client crash...
Don't forget that this didn't happen until AFTER the 1.6 patch. That's a very important clue Navetse Sasen... {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |
