I hope the quality assurance on the patch is better than that on the thread title. Not holding out much hope though.

I wonder what you'll break this time.
also, where is the super-transparent-in-depth security blog on your forum failure that you promised me months ago?
Do I need to make another angry blog post first that gets 20k hits in one day or what?

Edited by: Aeronwen Carys on 07/06/2011 12:04:02 I would say that even with these bugs, it hasn't been a bad patching experience this time around. Good luck with todays fixes as well, hope it goes smoothly.

If I could be bothered, which clearly I can't, I would hunt around for patch week threads from Red Moon Rising, the BOOT.INI incident and a half dozen others., but nice try.

Well maybe this will teach you what people say all the time:
NEVER EVER EVER patch until CCP announce that the servers are back up!

"The module highlighting for Covert Ops Cloaking Device II (and similar) is now correct." Are we talking about the solid white line around the cloak modle instead of the standard cycle rotation?
I thought this was actually an improvement as it made it easier to tell when my cloak was active...

My God did the Eve community wake up on the wrong side of bed this morning or something ? I'm surprised they bother patching the game any more. If I was a dev reading some of the crap on these forum I'd give up and start a new project - lol

The answer to your question is that the Eve community has finally started to wake up & realise what a sack of cr*p they are having to deal with on every patch day. The client is just collapsing into a volcanic heap of turd which will erupt into a final meltdown of your computer.

Btw, do we have about as much downtime as we had when it was 1-hour downtimes?! The change from one, large expansion in every 6 months to now lots of little expansions with lots of extra downtimes does not seem to have any benefits.
I would rather see the large expansions coming back and the downtime reduced further than the random chaos we seem to have now. --

I did. I've just cancelled six of my accounts & the final 2 will head in the same direction as for playing WOW I can't comment as to how good or bad it is but it surely can't be as badly patched as Eve? I mean patches should make it better not worse?

I guess the idea of the small expansions is for it to make it easier to identify what's causing the problem when it does go wrong.

ALT-TAB crash.
Hate to pop your bubble but I dont think it(Alt-TAB/minimized client crash) has been resolved with this patch. Just had my first crash since installing the latest patch.
Scenerio: Flying AFK, hit Alt-TAB to minimize...after a while client crashes, triggered by jumping or some kind of change.
Im hoping it was just a fluke, but players keep an eye on this and report it here so everyone can know.
