Nice ending to a pretty sad email. Mr. Hellmar, do you realize you're like shooting yourself in the face by partnering with Sony?
Of all the MMO's I've played in the past and currently, I consider SoE to be the worst...and EVE to be the best. Why ruin a good thing?

Epic fail how? I simply expressed an opinion that doesn't meet your "fanboi" standards?
I've had a good deal of bad experiences dealing with SoE customer service. All of which were weeks of wasted time, only to get a half assed apology...and all the while my credit card was charged...while they "researched". It took SoE 14+ days to determine that because I logged on from a different IP, that I wasn't a hacked account. 14 days? This should have taken them just a few minutes to look at.
On the other hand, I've had only good experiences dealing with CCP. The one time I petitioned to reactivate old accounts was answered within a couple of hours, and with professionalism.
It's my opinion that if CCP "gets in bed" with Sony....the results will not be positive. I'm not even going to mention the security issues Sony dealt with recently. Given that they have been a big time company selling MMO's for so long, they should have been ahead of the game when it comes to security.

So let's see here. EQ started a bit before EVE, but EVE has persisted with a steady player base all along. Sony has introduced countless games since...but none are rated so highly.
How will you feel if you start getting charged $29.95 for every expansion released after CCP has been releasing them for free for so long?
Sometimes...just sometimes...trying to fix what isn't broken ends badly. Open your eyes for a moment.

"EverQuest was developed by Verant Interactive and launched in February 1999. The game has since grown to include more than 400,000 subscribers,...."
Just a conglomo absorbtion gone wrong I guess. I'm hoping the same doesn't happen to EVE
