I was lucky and bought a PS3 based on the old Blue Ray player argument. But I appreciate that a lot of people will be left out in the cold with the platform decision.
But modern tech provides solutions to such problems almost straight out of the box. So I will be setting up a cloud service that will let ANYONE enjoy Dust. I call it GaaS (Gaming as a Service) and I'm currently negotiating finance to support what transpires to be a fairly low outlay on infrastructure.
The best thing about this GaaS venture is scalability. The cost to you PC and XBox players? Likely to be in game currency or materials (trit etc) subject to not breaking CCP rules.
How will it work?
You - the PC or Xbox player will connect to the GaaS Cam and Voice systems (currently a Logitec webcam pointed at a 37 inch lcd tv and a teamspeak server). Looking at Dust across the internets, you will SHOUT what you want me to do: "Left. Right a bit. Kill that mutha. No, not him, the other dude. Run, I'm getting pwned" .. etc
Using my elite FPS fighting skills I will slay in your name. There are some kids up my street who have PS3 also .... so if I get a lot of requests, we can burst the service and actively expand. GaaS will be offline after 9:30 pm and at mealtimes.

The GaaS payment system was agreed today but we have yet to define the exact rate. Payment will be in mins and the new currency - to be known as: Tritanium Extraction, Aurum, Renumeration System (TEARS)
PC and Xbox gamers are expected to use TEARS to get the gametime they rightly deserve.
Again - this is all subject to ensuring that service and payment mechanics are not in violation of EULA or other CCP rule. Etc etc
