Maybe you can buy a dictionary and a grammar book with the money you would have used for your Eve subscription....
Eve will survive just fine without you. So can I have your stuff?

Right.
I'm sure its smaller playerbase, hacker friendly network, and pathetic online service will make DUST a huge success.

Bad move CCP, way to doom your game.
I would have bought it for the PC and Xbox as well. Will this doom Dust? More than likely. But eve will still be here. I will take great pleasure in orbital bombardments.

Originally by: Taedrin Maybe, just MAYBE, CCP didn't sell us out to Sony. Maybe what happened was that CCP refused to sell us out to Microsoft.
Microsoft very well may have required CCP to use only their servers, or to make it a 360 exclusive, or for CCP to hand over the copyrights in order for the game to be on their servers. It's possible that Microsoft saw Dust 514 as a threat to its Halo franchise, and refused to do business with CCP under fair terms.
Oh yes, and "release it on all 3 platforms at once"
So you are suggesting that CCP have this game running on the Wii?
oo be great to have EVE-fittness for wii and tell me what a fat **** I am :) ------------------------------------

Na, it's still free. They released a "Plus" thing that you have to pay for but it's for getting into Beta's earlier than everyone of first dibs on demos that will be on the Network store later. Stuff like that.

You guys do realise that all this whining is misdirected. Microsoft does not allow this type of interplatform connections. They also allow a maximum of 64mb worth of patches over the lifetime of a product. They also require a monthly fee to be able to fully utilize their platform. And they require that they host the servers, something that would never work with TQ being TQ.
This all goes together to remove microsoft as a option. If you want(ed) Dust514 to come to Xbox, make MS change their policies. So far, many have tried, and no one has suceeded.
Also, someone said there are 20mil Xbox live accounts. There are 79 million active PSN accounts. And as the game is free to play, I bet it will have plenty of tryouts and downloads on the PSN. _________________ --- Snatch Victory - Rivqua - Omega Wing ---

...all this **** on forums makes me laugh in these hard times.... thank you guys! :-)
(btw: i think that CCP knows better than you, including me what to do with their game/s and where, when and to who to launch it. I think in future they will make it availible for PC, not just to consoles.)
-althou i cant resist not to qoute "shooters are for consoles" that made my day!! :-) LOOL!!

Shooter's belong to PC. I never heard of any big shooter tourneys for consoles, but I heard about at least 50 for the PC shooters.
Aiming with mouse is way faster than aiming with a ridicoulus stick.

They should probably put it on the Wii U.
That being said, the newest console I own is a Nintendo 64, and I am just going to keep playing Eve. |

I dont think anyone has mentioned Portal 2 for the Xbox360 and PS3. The PS3 allows the game to be played on Steam allowing PC and PS3 users to play together. Xbox did not allow this. The same thing probably occurred with Dust. PS3 seems to be more friendly on the dev side of things even if Xbox Live is a better service.

Consoles are generally **** compared to a proper PC. A console is sometimes "good" the first half year it is on the market. After that, PC's outrun it in every way possible.
Dust should have been made PC only for a start. Shooters are way better to play on PC than console (mouse aim vs controller aim, mouse wins, bigtime.)

When I see posts like that I really have to hope, for the sake of the world (really, I mean it), they aren't written by people over 18. If people in general are this petulent and short sighted we have a problem.
I have only been playing EVE 6 months, but been gaming for probably 20 years and consider myself not-quite-hardcore, played a couple, MMOs yadda, yadda. I can honeslty say no company has impressed me to the extent CCP has. They really show what a developer can do if they focus their careers on developing, improving and mastering a single IP rather than many.
What does this fawning have to do with the OP? CCP knows what their doing dude. I don't have a lot of experience time with CCP, but I do with lots of other companies and they could all stand to take some notes from these guys. If you think this was just a popularity contest decision, you're an idiot.

I read in an interview hints at it coming out for PC in the year following it's PS3 release. _______________________________________

Man this is getting annoying. I'm sure when CCP read your post here (or the OP for that matter) it was the very first time it even crossed their minds that some people who play EVE but don't own PS3's would not be purchasing DUST 514.

lol.The 360 was the main development platform for dust ironicly. I have both consoles but sony fanboi's really take the cake.
The reason Dust will not be on the 360 is because LIVE is a closed network and MS never allows anything to go ouside of it wich is exactly what dust needs to do.MS has not bend those rules for any developer as of yet and aparently they will not do that for CCP either.
