Alliance Jump bridge route planner
I have made a simple web based tool for alliances with jump bridges in 0.0, it allows their members to find the fastest route from system A to B (anywhere in eve) whilst taking into consideration the alliance jump bridges. For example: A route entered into the in-game map browser produces a route of: A->B->C->D->E->F->G->H->I->J.
Where as if there was a jump bridge from system A to I, then i'm sure you can see it would be faster to go A->I->J.
Currently the main method of 'finding' these routes is the use of static, redundant jump bridge maps that can be neglected and not updated. They also may not show all the systems surrounding a system with a jump bridge in it; so a player may not know that there is a jump bridge next door, etc.
There are other sites that offer this such as dotland, but they are not simplistic and straight forward; they also require unneeded effort and waste time... not what you want to be doing in 0.0!
This tool would probably cater more towards new people to your area; or if the alliance was to go on a CTA to some distant land, it can greatly help. From the feedback I have been given, people have commented on how much time it has saved and the reduced effort as a result of using it.
Features:
Web based, works both in and out of game Clean and simplistic interface Intuitive and easy to use Start and end destination systems can be anywhere in Eve Start and destination Systems auto complete when filling in the fields Results are returned instantly Returned results display the pos location (planet-moon), ownership and password required Can add/update/remove jump bridges within minutes Jump bridge location are centralized, no need for multiple, possible outdated jump bridge maps Players can link each other routes by simply copy and pasting the page url Whole process takes a matter of seconds to search and produce a route
The tool is currently in its prototype/beta phase but is being used by some of the biggest alliances in Eve with no problems.
I aim to charge little or no fee for the use of the tool, this can be discussed between the client and I. If you are interested in using/setting up the application, or have any queries please post on this topic or mail me.
Thanks,
Eve Toolbox.
