i personally think the raven is in need for a total rework.
Then they wont be able to sell their expensive model of it.
Errr the space camo you're thinking of is called a cloaking device. The navy camo is symbolic only to show that it's a military design I has nothing to do with actual use.
did you seriously think that's what they made the camo for?
Edit: I actually meant to quote the post above this one if you couldn't tell.

Firstly, don't touch the Dominix, it seems to be the most hated ship, tieing with the Moa. Not just because I actually like it, it fits it's role and looks appropriate, but because of my belief that not everything in the world is meant to be beautiful, and that really bugs me. People always want things to be the most stunning or beautiful things, and that breaks immersion for me at times. Practicality and functionality has a role to play as well, which goes hand in hand with the realism of the EVE world. The day when every ship looks like something out of an anime is the day EVE loses the name it has made for itself, the game that has unveiled some of the most interesting starship designs ever conceived.
This doesn't just apply to ships, avatars are a serious offender. No one like to play the old man, or the frail woman. No, everyone is a supermodel no matter what making a diversity of the video game character population very stale and flavorless. There are much more characterisations in human beings with many more personalities, backgrounds and traits than the 21 year old chick with a stunning physique and golden flowing hair, etc.

When custom paint jobs come every ship I fly will be hot pink.
Just to add extra insult to injury.
No one can take being killed by a hot pink anything.
Also: this for new hyperion
You assume all Eve players are gay, you're wrong. Only 99.99%, because I'm not and never use that stinky stuff !!

i agree that the caracal and rupture could use some refinement. imo they kinda got the short end of the stick when the ships were converted for trinity

Originally by: ITTigerClawIK ok so far we have seen an awesome pimped out mauler model as well as the sweet new scorp. so i was wondering what folks thought should be totally overhauled next.

I personally think STFU
The old Scorp looked much better then this 'lets make it look like an actual bug in space'. Caldari used to be 'damn the aesthetics', asymmetrical and such (which is NO problem if you distribute propulsion). So the stylized Scorp looks ridiculous when compared to the rest of the Caldari Navy. And CCP changed the colour as well so it stands out even more.
IMHO the Raven looks awesome as it is (though it is a bit tiny compared to the other battleships).

there is a difference though between the cases of the Scorpion and the Maller.
With the Scorpion they almost totally redesigned the ship with the "tail" being just about the only thing carried over from the original. In my opionion radical changes like that is not the way to go.
However the new Maller still maintains most of its basic shape, so its more of an improvement on the existing design. And this, is something they should be doing, adding detail and generally making the ships look good in the current graphics engine.
Like i mentioned earlier, some ships handled being converted for Trinity better than others, and its a good thing that they take the time to fix stuff like that, they just have to make sure that the ships keep their iconic shapes.

I personally think you drive a morris minor and have flower effect wallpaper in your bathroom.
I for one embrace our new shiny spacebug overlords.
In other news my vote goes for the shapless space potato that is the dominix.

The idea's not to make the Dominix beautiful, it's to make it look like it was actually designed to be a spaceship, not a 5th grader's science fair project.

I'm not sure there's much point changing the ship models at all, most of them are totally fine. In fact, i think the Moa is one of the best looking ships as it's so unique - not sure where the hate comes from!
I don't mind too much if the ship models are just getting an "upgrade", but if it's a case of totally re-designing them like the Scorpion was then i'd prefer CCP spent their time and resources on something more worthwhile.

I can think of a ship that I really hope DOESN'T get changed... the Maelstrom... it's beautiful!
I reckon a lot of the Gallente ships need some love from the "body-specialists" before they look half as pretty. A few of the Caldari ships are pretty ugly too. I actually like the way most of the Minmatar ships look, in the words of Charlie Fodder "Trust in the rust".

Ask for a return of the old, pre-Trinity graphics and stick flying to ships like Enyo, Eris, Oneiros and Phobos
hey now.. nothing said you're screwed quite like a pink dildo shaped HIC.
