So I've never owned a console from the current generation. I'm a PC gamer all the way. That said the new releases or ICO and SOTC, plus dust514 and a few other games have made the PS4 very temping... However I didn't mention the other reason I only play PC, I'm a graphics snob and I can't take playing the PS3 or Xbox360 with a full 1080p screen. That said I can't afford a Ps3 and a new TV, and I'm sure there others like me out there.
So this is for you out there that onyl have a beef laptop with a 1080p screen but still want to buy a Ps3 for dust.
Ps3 now supports remote desktop. As long as you have a wireless connection or otherwise, you can play Ps3 games on your laptop/PC. Basically it's just a setting right on the Ps3 apparently which streams the contents of the PS3 right to your desktop. This has made playing dust in the future a real possibility for me finally, and I just wanted to let the community know about it. : )
*you can even turn on and off the Ps3 from accross the country, and play it with an Xbox360 controller* xD support is coming in the future to allow your laptop/desktops keyboard and mouse to control games. +1 in my book.

That's pretty badass.
I don't need a TV since I live in college, I like the idea of using my laptop as the Tv for my PS3. Thank you sony.

Exactly. My laptop has a 21inch 1080 screen. The TVs that would be in my price range would look worse than my laptop :/ I don't think i could live with myself if I wasted 200-300$ on a subpar TV.

Remote play has been around for ages - I can connect to my PS3 with my PSP etc. You never used to be able to play games over it - just stuff in the PS operating system. Kind of pointless really. Unless that's changed, don't get all excited...

Cool framerate, bro.
Sounds good and all, but you can't play any games like this, so~... yeah.

you can play games with it. The laptop and the Ps3 just have to be in the same room.

"Well what's the point in that???" You can plug a PS3 even in old TVs via RGB cable, it will be much better than screwing around with your <22" laptop

But the old tv via RGB is SD, the laptop is HD.
