There is too much ISK in eve. I have a simple suggestion that will help with this.
Every time you dock up now you mysteriously decide to leave your pod, something which used to be a rather complicated action. Naturally you are left with a rather viscous and tough to remove coating of pod goo.
My suggestion is that you have to pay to rinse this all off in a sink.
Of course smart people who do not leave their pods only to stand around with nothing to do will not be taxed. It can be a tax on the stupid. ~~~

Bad idea.
This would discourage people from using Incarna features. Considering the time spent on it this would be in no ones best interest.

I like Incarna but what other feature does it have except being able to stand around and do nothing?
Even though I'm not an Incarna hater, I probably won't use it for more than a month, why? There is nothing to use it for. At the moment it's just eye candy, in the future that will change but for now it's just a stand in a room and either scream at your computer's inability to run fast, or jerk off to the high end graphics.
The idea is fine, we need a way to get rid of some ISK.
...Oh and I'm the guy who founded the city between Eastshire and Westshire. Nobody visits it though. |

Don't be short sighted and add dumb charges for no reason. "Removing pod goo" is just silly and there is no indication that Incarna will be featureless for an extended period of time.
I agree that ISK sinks are necessary. What we need are permanent solutions we won't have to change in a few months because we didn't think things through.

There is actually not enough isk in eve... I don't have nearly enough isk to do what I need to do and I am sure plenty of newbies would love some extra isk so they can buy more ships and stuff.
The major alliances have all the isk and they are a small % of the eve population. Eve Suffers from much the same problem that the US does.
Now if the rich and wealthy would start giving out isk to people then the economy might stabilize. "Sorry, Your Sov Options are Unavailable due to a PSN Outage."

Are you really that much of an idiot? why the heck would giving money away cause the market to stabilize? Please, explain your reasoning... this should be entertaining...

Or smart people who wouldn't get in their stinky pod but just have fun in stations ... whenever that's made possible, that is.

As there's no progressive tax system in EVE, I believe Xenuria wants some method to reduce the gap between rich and poor.

This makes me think that Features and Ideas forum is actually the developer's trashcan. --- This doesn't even seem to be a regular case of rats fleeing the sinking ship. Seems more like the rats are on fire, the ship is on fire, and the sea is full of drunk Russians. - Jacob Etienne |

-1 to original suggestion. Incarna and the CQ is meant to draw in new players (see dev blog), and I think it's meant to become the standard docked view (Note: I THINK. Speculation. Reasonable speculation). Adding a charge to use it would discourage people from using it. Also, since when did it make sense to have to pay any significant amount of ISK to take a bath in your own CQ?
