Who are the most famous players in Eve, I know about Chribba and Akita are probably the most famous but who else is also famous and does that mean everybody wants to join their corporations.

There are a number of people who've made a significant contribution to the game - in one way or another. I don't know who they all are - or even most of them.
A lot of them have made their contribution where the people involved with what they are doing all know who they are - but I and many other people don't.
There are people who post a lot of the forums, often in certain ones and those posts make them well known within that little area - but they or the posting alt they are using - may be virtually unknown in the game itself.
The other thing is - people come and go - so someone who may have been an extremely important player years ago may no longer play.
So it's hard to say.
It does not mean that everyone wants to join their corporations - because there are hundreds of them, each important in their own area but maybe less so somewhere else.
If you see someone you think you'd like to fly with - and they are a corporate leader - they're probably not going to be flying with you. They've already got to many responsibilities. They might though. You can apply to their corporation and see. If you don't like it you can leave.
Just ... pay attention to what people say about their corporation ... yeah ... it may be famous ... but famous for what?

For players most known for their ingame actions I would go with Istvaan Shogaatsu. Calling him famous sounds a bit to positive tho.

Liang, Akita T, and Tippa are all favorites of mine.
Liang and Tippa for being good a maths n stuff (and actually knowing what the exact formulas for tracking, stacking penalties, etc).
Tippa and Akita for having nearly impeccable logic (and both seem to like to engage in marathon discussions/arguments with a dogma that is unmatched.
And all three have this dry, cynical, almost shank-sharp (with a hint of prison bacteria) sense of humor that makes me giggle each time I read their posts.

We all know Hulkageddon is designed to help sell more Hulks as the main people behind Hulkageddon have the bpo to manufacture them. Any former usage of warring against the bots is kind of gone.

I'm on my way of becoming the largest bpo supplier in town!  Just a mater of time.
But yeah, plenty of influential people around. It's one of the really cool effects of having a single gameworld instead of split gameworlds.

Bear in mind that some of the most influential people may be those you've never heard of. Someone might have a massive control over an aspect of the market, for example, by dominating trade in one commodity, yet they might do most of their trading through alts who never draw attention.

H'geddon was never about bots. Helicity Boson has refuted that myth every time it's brought up.
As for the OP, I agree with the above post that says anyone who is e-famous usually has a fairly narrow fan base. There are a couple of low sec pirate blogs that have made me interested in seeking them out in order to test my mettle.
