Me? I'd buy the most expensive ship I could, fit it with civilian mods and take it right into a warzone to see how long, if at all, I could last. You hate the song play with sound off, at some point you check out, but it never leaves. I played from 2004 onward and quit for a while (i think it was for a month or two) but kept on reading eve tribune and kept on listening to podcasts and even read the books. The problem is that you quit because what eve is, but you come back because of what eve can become. (Also my slaves get lazy without me around to flog them but that is another matter).

The reasons for it are many but the main ones are: * The current/persistent bugs * The unbelievable amounts of lag * The amount of RMT'ing & it's side effects * The lack of a human face/attitude to customer service The list has many other reasons in it but in general everyone knows how it is/goes. All these cosmetic ideas are good & great but they do nothing really for game playability/enjoyment, & isn't there a possibility that they will just cause even more lag? (Are there many P2P games that also have micro-transactions?) Anyway yes a lot of people are moving on from EVE & it is going to be interesting to see where the number stops at for amounts of people logging in as I could be wrong but it seems to have dropped off by several thousand lately. There are people who want to die & It is Our Job To make sure they get their wish as fast as possible!?!

EVE is still best internet spaceship game, and there's a ton to do if you feel inclined to make something to do up. Have fun with the hiatus, but never forget your glorious spaceship days. Dont forget you can "Hours for plex" your big money account if you want to wire the money over to Jim to do something hilarious with your final days...you could, I dunno, hire a bunch of randoms and do a mass suicide gank on the 4-4 undock with faction fit ships or something, but thats just the scurvy in me talking.
