I will not be renewing, after 8 years it is finally dawning on me that this game doesn't do it for me any more. I have made many friends, enemies too (with my pirate alt Sherringford Hovis, mainly) but I am bored. Is it because of Incarna? No. Lack of development, due to the redirection of funds to non eve stuff? No, it's their money they can do what they want! Is it because of Falcon? Definately not Thanks for all the fish CCP, I wish all well! ------------------------------------------ Mines a Pint of Large

I do feel your pain and misery.. we are in poverty when it comes to new T2/T3 ships (POS system will not be touched till CCP says 2014) and rant all we will, but nothing really gets accomplished. yes CCP, 80% of eve subs do not use this forum and really do have massive disappointment. maybe you devs don't get the picture of your subs that put a lot of dedication to the game and get stomped on, eventually quit silently or make a thread and cry over it. OH, you just take in opinions from ppl that you meet in person at fan fest... which doesn't matter to the next subscriber via internet, not a small opinion change. Hence, multi-f-ck-ups. (don't care for CSM btw) but how many threads have we seen about this? since... for a very long time.. EVE is dieing, its obvious.

While you may think its permanent I think you'll be back ;) theres no escaping it.

You hate the song play with sound off, at some point you check out, but it never leaves. I played from 2004 onward and quit for a while (i think it was for a month or two) but kept on reading eve tribune and kept on listening to podcasts and even read the books. The problem is that you quit because what eve is, but you come back because of what eve can become. (Also my slaves get lazy without me around to flog them but that is another matter).

Every process is super refined and efficient, spreadsheets, database pulls and OOG websites/apps doing everything for you. Guides for everything. Fittings posted everywhere along with everyones intel leaked on forums. Nothing is unknown. The game has slowly been turned inside out and turned into an efficiency machine, as opposed to a massive, unknown, scary world to explore. TLDR: Eve got too popular :(

In the last few weeks I know of at least 50+ people that are now just playing out the end of their game time before moving on to other games. The reasons for it are many but the main ones are: * The current/persistent bugs * The unbelievable amounts of lag * The amount of RMT'ing & it's side effects * The lack of a human face/attitude to customer service The list has many other reasons in it but in general everyone knows how it is/goes. All these cosmetic ideas are good & great but they do nothing really for game playability/enjoyment, & isn't there a possibility that they will just cause even more lag? (Are there many P2P games that also have micro-transactions?) Anyway yes a lot of people are moving on from EVE & it is going to be interesting to see where the number stops at for amounts of people logging in as I could be wrong but it seems to have dropped off by several thousand lately. There are people who want to die & It is Our Job To make sure they get their wish as fast as possible!?!

EVE is still best internet spaceship game, and there's a ton to do if you feel inclined to make something to do up. Have fun with the hiatus, but never forget your glorious spaceship days. Dont forget you can "Hours for plex" your big money account if you want to wire the money over to Jim to do something hilarious with your final days...you could, I dunno, hire a bunch of randoms and do a mass suicide gank on the 4-4 undock with faction fit ships or something, but thats just the scurvy in me talking. As for coming back, well here is the thing. I go on holiday to Mallorca on Saturday, for two weeks. Nice bit of relaxing (and drinking, it is an all inclusive after all!), then I may return. I found ANOTHER 700+million, in contracts I forgot to accept lol. This will be given away tonight too! Finally, I am really heartened by some of the replies. I still haven't flown them all and I when I get the uege to try one I look at fits for them, dissect them and then end up making my own to serve the (usually wrong) purpose I want it to serve.
