I'm trying to update my client, but it stops downloading about halfway, and says "Failed. Something went wrong" Any fixes? |

Ok, scratch that, it happens when applying the patch. It downloads 100%, and as soon as its done, I get this:

I would try the automatic patch thing, but I cant even run my client atm... It says something about the client being modified and unable to run. It started that after the first time it failed

Ah ha! Found the problem. Started the task manager, and looked in processes... sure enough there it was: "Exefile.exe" running. Killed the processes and now everything is working

Edited by: Soden Rah on 18/06/2011 23:36:12 hmmm, not sure, might help if you copied across the exact error messages..
If you have the HDD space/download allowance/bandwidth... you could try creating a new folder, copying across the TQ client, and then try patching that....
Might also give you an idea of the patch size for Incarna on patch day.
EDIT: heh, or that works too ;-)

Start the Sisi client AGAIN with a shortcut from your desktop, that contains in the target field: ["<some path>\CCP\EVE - Singularity\eve.exe" /server:Singularity]
After the automatic patch (manual didn't work) I was panicking for a moment as the thing wanted to connect to TQ and I thought it had shot my TQ install again. But closing that and restarting it with my shortcut solved this issue.
Sisi is now running the Client version for TQ, that will be patched on Tuesday. That's why you get this odd behaviour. This version tries to connect to TQ instead of Sisi by it's own. You have to tell it to connect to Sisi!!!
