i like to do 6 siege 1 nos 1x xl shield booster, 3 hardners of whatever youre fighting a cap recharger 2, and a 100mn afterburner, 4 pdus(power diagnostics) 1 armor repairer best you can fit, basically warp in with ur hardners on pop ur afterburner on and start moving away from the fleet, note this may need slight variations if you cant fit the stuff i have engy 5 electronics 5 weapon upgrades 5 and other things that contribute, of course everything i named up there will be better if its named but thats up to you, good luck on your journeys

6x siege launchers 2x what ever doesnt really matter w/ my setup.
Large Tech 2 shield booster, 1 em and 1 thermal hardner, 1 100MN AB, 1x sensor booster 2, 1x cap recharger 2
5x Power Diag. Unit 2's
i work for brutor, so i face mostly angel ships, and this never fails, mind you, i start at range.

Sometimes you need to sacrifice some of the shield tank for speed. I could not finish the second room of "rogue drones" mission with my regular setup with two supreme drone parasites that were targeting me immediately upon warp in at about 30 km distance. Had to swap one tech II shield extender for an extra hardener and fit three mark I overdrives in the lows. Then I was able to gain enough distance on them (75km from one and 95km from the other). At this distance I could keep up with the damage they were dealin and killed them one after another. It was a close call on my own ability to deal enough damage, though. supreme parasites do alot of armor tanking. I spent a full load of torps (6 siege x 15 torps) to kill each of them |

I'm doing all level IV mission with this fit :
6 siege - 2 empty 2 large shield booster II - 4 hardener (for serpentis, 2thermal and 2kinetic) 3 ballistic and 2 PDU
always align for warp and you will have no problem. -----------------------------------------------

6 siege, 1 heavy nos, 1 med nos 1 large booster II, 1 amp, 4 hardeners 4 PDU II, 1 ballistic.
You can tank and kill those 2 supreme parasites without moving

A couple of the new missions - one of the drone ones for example - seem to have drones that orbit you really fast, and that you can't hit with torps. I needed to use a few cruises for this one. 6 siege, 2 nos, xl shield, 2 amps, 3 hardeners, 5 pdus = win

I've found that sometimes you need some good webbifiers. Slap 1 web on these insane drones and they'll drop down to a speed that your torps can hit... given some time. Put 2 on 'em and they're as good as dead.
I do this with an Apoc - can't hit anything within 7km with lasers unless it's sitting dead still, so I web/torp orbiters. Works quite nicely though ties up my mids.

I have been do L4 missions in my Raven for a while now, over 140k LP now. This is the setup i use.
6 x Seige Launchers 1 x XL c5L sheild, 4 x Hardeners, 1 x Cap recharger 2 2 x Ballistic (named if you can get them, i got mine for like 10-15mil each) 3 x PDU 2
6 x Heavy Drones (these are handy for those pesky fast drones that your torps cant hit)
Now i havnt bothered with putting anyhting else in the highs, maybe a Large Smartbomb, but i tend to sit at about 40km only moving closer for the BS rats that are tank like a beast (mordus )

Edited by: Calio on 21/02/2005 18:42:04 I too have been do L4 missions in my Raven for a while now, with never a serious problem other than occasion close-call.
High: 6 x Seige Launchers, 1 named medium SB Mid: 1 x XL named shield booster, 1 named boost amplifier, 3 x Hardeners, 1 100mn MWD/AB for range control (if they can't hit you. they can't kill you) Low: 1 x Ballistic, 1 named cpu 3 x PDU 2
I carry cruises (wrath) and torps (juggers) usually. I use cruises for everything but the BS's and switch to torps for them (usually leave them for last). Cruises will do in drones and any other fast rats, with max 3 salvos of 6 for up to 100k cruisers (need another 3 missles to finish off 110k cruisers)
6 x Heavy Drones (these are handy for those pesky fast drones that your torps cant hit)

Where do all these uber Raven pilots get their CPU and power from? If I load 6 sieges I can fit 1 heavy NOS, a shield booster and a couple of hardners. I do need 4 PDU-IIs and a CPU enhancer though. What's the trick?

skills is not all, they also save on power and cpu by using named siege and name XL shield booster..
But if you just do missions, you don't need the 2 heavy nosf. I have been doing lvl 4 missions without any named mods..the 6 regular sieges are enough.
The key doing missions is the tanking..named mods are an unnecessary luxury.

Electronis 5, weapon upgrades 4 at least
Buy Limos sieges, best bang for the buck-- low cpu, good speed, 20mil instead of 35 min for zw's (which have like 12 more cpu each). Malkuths are good if you're really short of CPU.
I can only get one nosf on as I only have 4 limos sieges atm, but the nosf's aren't that great in missions anyway. They help some, but not that spectacular. Smartbombs are a bit better but then you have to pay way too much attention.
Wish they had point defense turrets so I could throw a couple of those on my raven to mulch incoming missiles ;)

Edited by: JaiMaster on 22/02/2005 09:07:08 i know cap injectors are often disregarded due to the size of the charges, but when you need to dock between every engagement (mission) anyway, why not?
personally -
6x ZW- seige 2x empty highs (waste of time)
1x XL C5L 2x hardners (EM/Therm vs blood / amarr, therm/kin vs angel/drone) 2x shield amps 1x Large brief cap injector w/ 4x 800 charges
3x ballistic control 2x PDU2 (grid for the cap injector)
that dual supreme parasite spawn someone was having issues with... with this setup, you can just sit there and pound the hell out of them (you should still have all 4 cap injection charges, the first stage is easy) and tank their dmg without a drama. keeps their cans nice and close together for your hauler :)
very nearly bid on vespas modified XL for this setup... bil to buy it, but the shield for cap ratio with 2 amps would be packin 1k boost for what, 400 cap... rarr :) ------- Skill points. ISK. Ships, rare equipment. Its all just a means to an end...
Your end.

Totally agree. I only have one named mod on my ship. I do use a tech II booster and PD II's but other than that everything else is tech I unnamed. I prefer my skills to boost the stats and don't really want to lose a shed load of isk if one day I go pop on a mission for some reason (lag anyone)

Well named shield mods help you tank, a good xc-c5 is a neccesity in my opinion, that and a SBA. Good launchers help you kill the rats quicker and time is money.

To be honest, when you can complete a Pirate Invasion in 1hr 15 then I am not too bothered about doing it any quicker. Besides, if time is really money then all your setups MUST include an AB, after all, that's the biggest time sink in any mission where you take a bs
