A well-played troll ending to a well-played alliance tournament from Hydra/Outbreak. I was predicting a more obvious troll ending (like 20 haulers or something) in corp chat.
I have to wonder, was that ever considered? Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels and filesize of 24000 bytes -Sahwoolo Etoophie |

Sorry, a member of an alliance of exploiters doesn't get to call "shame on you!" on anyone. Go tracking-disrupt your corpmates about it and shut up please. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels and filesize of 24000 bytes -Sahwoolo Etoophie |

Originally by: Max Torps I loved this tournament as with all of the previous tournaments. The bittersweet tears from those who emotionally invested in inferior teams is also rather delicious and while I am writing this I am licking those tears off my screen and orgasming pure rainbows.
Yes, people will be disappointed at the final and the meta-gaming that occurred to get it there. Yet they will still celebrate meta-gaming in other areas and fail to recognise their own hypocrisy.
In fact, let's see what happened here. The team captain of Outbreak and Hydra Reloaded was one and the same. Yes, one captain and two teams with total agreement of both teams. They defeated all of the other teams which is no mean feat and something of a massive triumph. Especially considering how easily that operation could itself have been meta-gamed.
A chap called Garmon who's mother keeps watch on his router in the basement beat all comers and yet the vast intellect of all of the other players in Eve cannot beat this. If you truly devalue Garmon then you should be ashamed of yourselves. If you don't want to be ashamed then you should do better yourselves next year and shut up until then.
He achieved what others didn't by using well established Eve Online values and knew the actual game to achieve an end result that was favourable to him and the teams he represented. Whining about it is just embarrassing yourself.
While the result was what I thought it would be in our last podcast episode, the reasons are a little different. I was fully expecting sone sort of Pandemic Legion bartering for the final winning position after HYDRA RELOADED and Pandemic Legion beat all others into the final.
While I was wrong on that count, you have to recognise the hard work involved in not only getting one team to the final, but navigating all of the other matches, managing the metagaming and getting two there.
Thank you to all who took part, team captains and grunts and thank you to all of the CCP people involved. Another winner and another Alliance Tourney done.
How many threads will you spam this in? There's a couple on other forums that don't have it yet... :) Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels and filesize of 24000 bytes -Sahwoolo Etoophie |
