That would be Dust 514...Don't mucky up my Eve with any more crap. There's already enough useless crap on here that doesn't help the game functionality.

It would be really nice if they took our advice and WAY overcompensated.
Dev: "Hey, it looks like this is going to actually take until 18:00, boss."
Senior Dev: "Don't ****ing say 18:00 on the forums, tell them 21:00...then we'll just come back online at 18:00 and everyone will be surprised."

Exactly. What if your car broke down and the mechanic showed up with Flasy Pinstriping, Shiny new wheel covers, and Plush seat covers and Fuzzy dice to hang from your rearview mirror, put all that on and drove away without fixing the reason why your car wouldn't run right. Would you be happy?
I will give you CCP's perspective:
The players in this game that have been playing for years and love their 0.0 warfare have invested years of their time, and tons of their money. They are sitting in supercaps in space and are the directors and CEO's of corporations and alliances. If they leave the game, it's an unfortunate side effect of the current state of the game. However, kids with ADHD can only pay attention to things that look cool and have nice graphics and such. If CCP makes it like an awesome alternate reality for the kids to escape to, CCP wins. Most people who hate it, but have invested crazy amounts of time and effort, will likely stick around just to try to get something out of it. Even those who don't necessarily play....still pay.

For all of you who insist on complaining about extended DT's and such...I have hacked into CCP's mainframe and found the equation they base their DT estimates off of. See below:
DTP = 1 + z + z3/3 + z5-5 + (dT/dx = -sin(x) + cos(x) i) - (e i = -1)
Carry the 2...
sqrt(a2+b2)[a/sqrt(a2+b2) + bi/sqrt(a2+b2)] = STFU
Where STFU = When extended DT for patch is announced, train a week long skill in the queue or STFU about it because this happens every time.

I'm not in IT, and I'm not agreeing with the so-called IT consultant. That being said, I do work for a public corporation that has a 24-hour IT department. If my company were to have outages like this...they would likely replace someone. However, our servers being online are critical to our operations. Eve, on the other hand, is a game...and I don't really care if I can't play my game for a few hours.
