Proud to be male in RL, and confident enough in my heterosexuality, but I still prefer female characters over males and I certainly prefer looking at a females behind, even when it is made only of pixels. Yes, I am that shallow and possibly sexist.

In all mmo games with 3D characters this issue arises:
> if you play a male you're gay because you prefer looking at a men's behind all day
> if you play a female you're gay because you're a crossdresser
Before this you weren't a character, just a ship with a photograph. So now you're just afraid to come out of the (captain's) closet I guess!

Many years ago I simply clicked "randomise" and blocked all other portraits in chat. I've done the same ever since. Haven't you got anything serious to sob over?

You must have a face. Please show the community how Ugly or how Awesome a face you can make. Personally I like to make my alts look like ******s and have my mains somewhat realistic looking :)

Player who takes more time and energy complaining he doesnt want to spend a lot of time on his portrait, when he could have just hit random, or put a character in low lighting and move on.
What was your portrait before? Just do that again. Nobody is forcing you to put makeup, tattoos, and lighting on your avatar, get over yourself. It takes one minute, and your plight is almost as pathetic as you are.

If you really not bothered about it, you would just hit random and be done with it, you would not care what you end up with as you just want to fight.
And about the whole men playing female avatars... I know a couple of Females who play male avatars!!
Sometimes it not a sexual thing at all, some people use gaming to escape from real life, so they will want to make things as different as possible, and one way to do that is to be the opposite sex in game, like some fantasy games you can be a different race, like elf or dwarf, I bet you the number of non-human race types are higher... does that mean they like sex with animals/aliens? according to your logic, they do!
SO as before... seriously shut up, hit random, and go back to blowing **** up in game because your forum posting is awful
