So first off I'll say that my pvp record is horrible. However its not for want of trying. Anyhoot, I found out that using ECM in pvp is right up my ally, as it annoys the **** out of the "pure" pvp'ers. I have used Scorpions to good effect and blackbirds, tried a griffin once but i got one shotted lol. I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan but will be returning back to the eve universe in about a month, so I've been playing with EFT and what have ya. I put together this Blackbird fit earlier today and just wanted you guy's input. Note: I'm notorious among those who have flown with me to not be able to fit for **** so keep that in mind and dont be too rough. I bruise easy.
Blackbird: Low Slots: Signal Dispersion Amplifier II Damage Control Unit II
Mid Slots: Stasis Webifier II 10MN Microwarp Drive Phase Inverter II x2 Spatial Destabalizer II Ion Field Projector II
High Slots: Assault Missile Launcher II x3 Medium Energy Neutralizer II
Rigs: Particle Dispersion Projector I Particle Dispersion Augmentor I Core Defence Field Extender I ECM optimal is at 82 with a 69 km fall off and a max locking range of 90km. ECMS have a strength of 8.66. AML's will reach out ot 35.4 km and it moves with the microwarpdrive at 1252 m/s. Obviously just to be used to catch up to a frigate if it gets close enough to keep it in web range. Effective HP of 8280 ....this is all with my characters skills. If you guys have any advice, it's welcome. Thanks for the help.

Depends a bit on how many you are flying with and against, but generally I'd go for a 1600 mm plate in the lows, mwd and jammers in med and no highs (the 1600 mm takes all power).
Rigs and last low to taste... (depending on if you want more survivability or more jams)

A couple of things, 1 a Web and Nuet is not really of use as you should be using range to your full advantage. Most times you want to be far enough off that if they have someone Warp in to the person thats being Jammed your a good 50km away and ready to attempt jam them instead of being Primary with your very small tank. This one utilizes a Range Tank and goes for maximum jam.

Another good fit is a 1600mm Plate Blackbird which has lower Jam Strength but lets you operate in a more general close to mid range enviroment if the Battle goes that way. Better for say a fight on the undock where your undocking into the fire.

yeah, I like the 1600mm plate idea, im gonna throw that one on my eft see what it will give me. with the fit I have up there was for gang work..the webs and the neut were in case tacklers start coming after me, but you both make valid points. i appreciate it.

Personally I'd skip the plate - Blackbirds tank is range. You have a 72+80km range 'normally', and with a bit of a boost, it'll clear of 100km without too much difficulty. So you should really always be at range in a BB, or on your way to range. At range, your threats are frigates really - it's not like you've firepower to take anything larger.

You'll be a nuisance at 0-150km. 10.85 jamming strength when overheated will be annoying enough.
Light MWD and run like hell to range, and jam off (and zap with the lights) anything that chases you.

like what the others have said, make the most of your range and use heavy launchers.
the blackbird is a fleet player and not for solo work, if you are low on funds then fit shield extender rigs as they are cheaper than armour rigs. my first eve video
