I hear what you're saying but its a bit narrow minded. For example. I personally am an Outlaw and I have a bounty on my head. I would not walk around station unless I smuggled a weapon in, and I would be alert at all times because someone in that crowd around me may want to go after my bounty. Keeps it exciting. I am not a billionaire like you imagine all outlaws to be, I will not have bodyguards on my staff. I will only have my own wits and possibly gang mates backing me up. not sure but keeps things exciting..
Even a poor capsular can afford a few expendable bodies. when I started this game, 10 to 50M felt like a lot to me. after a few years of playing 10M feels like nothing now even as if I was a bad guy with a bounty on my head. But if you want to live dangerously by all means go for it. even the king pin of a gang still has a right to pay for protection if they like to. or pull a few strings and have other station gangs work for free for you in return, supply them with drugs.
I'm sure in 0.0 both NPC or Player stations don't have the luxury of personal security.

Edited by: JusFooling Around on 21/06/2011 18:29:23 I think as an ardent FPS player since their first "incarnation" and this being my only game outside of the FPS genre, I can certainly state that Eve will never be COD. Of course, COD will never be any of the Battlefield series.
I'm wondering how warring alliances with adjacent storefronts will really work? I hope it will give smack talk chats a new address. I'm certain there will be new versions of old scams...

Seriously, I'd like to see this sort of thing incorporated down the road, along with true gambling in bars, like being able to slide into a poker game.

I'd love that a hunter gets a new "sneaking" ability upon accepting a bounty. Also he/she'd get a new option upon closing on a victim..like "shove from balcony"!

And Im supporting under the belief that you are cloned, as per usual. Edit: And the person with the bounty is able to defend themselves.

Edited by: Bodega Cat on 21/06/2011 19:01:23 if a bounty is higher than the price of a clone, whats stoping a person with a high bounty from splitting the proceeds with his buddy and letting him bust the cap?
The scenario you described is what happens in movies and books, the scenario i described is what happens in eve.

That's an excellent point Bodega and def worthy of considering. But not something to scrap the whole idea over.
