Anybody played Eve on a 32inch LED Tv at 1080 x 1920?
What's it like?
Thinking about replacing a new 24" monitor only with a 32" LED TV

Since I also want to use it for artwork, and developing, I don't want too large so 32" seems desktopable for all purposes without powerpoint size text and big button phone type icons :)
Just wondering how it is with regular desktop use too since it will be my main monitor then.
Was concerned that the larger pixel size on the panel with the same HD resolution maybe a factor.
Also don't forget I will be sitting probably 2 foot from it :)

Although that not what your asking though is it, actually i had to use a 32in TV when my Monitor broke, i just put it on a little table next to me & it worked fine. Internet Games & Movies all as they should do.
Is it a case of getting teh 1080p resolutioin or is it the screen size your after, 27in monitor are fine, plus there doing them at stupid resolutions of 2560 X 1400 & 1600. But those go for a bit more.
I got a new 24" and since its HD resolution ( I had a higher res before but they're harder to get now due to HD and manufacturing costs I bet ).
Was looking at 32" TV's because they are pretty cheap.
I doubt I can get a higher than HD resolution at a reasonable price, so standard HD most likely.
I will proably take a laptop into the store with HDMI cable and try one. They said I could.
Also we got a 55" LED 3D (bloody expensive) but it always look washed out, maybe it just needs set better.
But I am concerened that close up normal desktop and text work would be a problem on HD resolutions at higher screen areas.

I bet.
I used to have a nice Higher than HD samsung, then for some reason a few resolutions over VGA died ( I blame Win 7 VGA spotty compatibility for this - known issues ), so I went and got a 24" LG (first time not buying Samsun), then was looking for a inexpensive 32" TV so I was thinking of replacing my new 24" with a 32" TV as theyre falling in price fast.
Sure Id love a higher than HD but they're not cheap with a TV Tuner (and USB tuners suck goats), so I am pretty much stuck with HD resoution.
If I have to get a dedicated monitor, I probably wont bother, the TV tuner included is just an excuse to upgrade it :)

I've found the most crisp setting was at 1360 x 768. It will look just like a giant monitor and give you plenty of room to adjust things. If you go higher it will fuzz the text at normal viewing distance and lower will make things too big.
Try it out...and you'll need to make sure you adjust your TV to provide a crisp picture. Take awhile to dial in, but its worth it.
I also run a 13 inch to the left and to the right for panels that I keep up all the time and I don't want to block the action.
So 1360 x 768 is its native resolution and it goes higher "non native" for tv?
If so, sounds like something to watch for, the native resolution of 1080 x 1920.

No it's native resolution would be the 1920 X 1080, but setting it for a 1360 X 768 is better for viewing internet related stuff because of all the text i suppose. Plus 1360 X 768 is the widescreen 720P res.
You could even leave it there for watching TV, becasue even HD TV is filmed at 720 res, & not 1080. Don't know how many people know that, but blu-rays are the only thing making use of the full 1080P resolution.
So, i find it odd that text wouldnt look crisp at the native res.
Have you ran the cleartype tuner again? It could be the cleartype crap.

I will only be one arms length away.
