well, lets see.. let someone else spend real money so that I can play 3 months or so I can wear a new pair of boots or a blouse. I'm a mission runner so I can buy the plex to sub my accounts. As such I spend little time in the station.
I think I'll use my plex to continue subbing, all the bugs in the game aren't bad when someone else is paying for your game time
so no, I will not buy anything.. unless there is a Slaver Hound pet

I'd buy the firing of CCP Soundwave with AUR if I had to.

Well I was hoping to accessorize a little bit, but we'll have to see what shade the spandex comes in. ----------------------------------------------- One stupid item in a 'pay to play' game shouldn't cost 5 months worth of playtime to buy in an item shop! |

I put my game money on disposable credit cards for security reasons. I put just enough on them for the game... thats it. No extra money for crap I dont need or want. The CQ is cool and all but I just dont see any reason to have it, they obviously arent planning on adding a ground combat system because they have DUST for that.

I'd be open to the idea of buying some MT clothes, but at prices of $0.50-$5; much more then that and it starts to be a pretty hard sell. During the patch deployment I went on SiSi and looked at some of the items and I think they're pretty decent. I was in particular thinking about buying a pair of goggles, but at the current prices I'm not going to touch the NeX with a 10 foot pole.
Still just incredibly shocked, appalled, and disappointed at what seems to be blinding arrogance on the part of whoever made the decisions to price those items. What could have been a nice, gentle introduction of MT has instead become a catastrophic failure, which is made worse by CCP's seeming duplicity regarding MT, as found in the company newsletter.
I can't wait to see the Dev Blog that comes out of this debacle. At the very least, it should make for some entertaining reading, from the admission of guilt to the grovelling apologies that everyone expects.

My biggest concern is the deafening silence from CCP.
A few weeks ago I had a forced change of circumstances, but I love(d?) EVE and wanted to keep playing. So I eBayed some stuff and subbed up for a year. Yes, a year.
With the rollout of Incarna and the various technical/immersion issues it has brought to bear, as well as the ridiculous NEX prices, is it any wonder I am now seriously beginning to regret that decision?
CCP needs to talk to the players, soon.

The overwhelming silence is because they're frantically trying to figure out what to do about this situation.

Probably not. Vanity was never my thing, but If I get the chance, I'll probably buy militant clothes. I'm tired of looking like a space thug.

I want nothing to do with this whole sorry affair.
I can't believe that CCP are committing suicide like this. They're destroying the integrity of the game that they've spent years building - Eve can't really survive this. The game is dead - get used to it guys because in a year's time you won't even recognise it. Welcome to World of Evecraft.
It's actually really sad.

In EVE no, I have bought in DDO and LOTRO, but there's a slight difference.
You dont pay 15Ç pr month in those games.

You should put this into a PDF file and lable it "Secret Iceland Mans Documents"
As far as this thread goes, as long as they dont say anything, you continue to feel like the situation is unresolved. i.e. you stick around hoping for some resolution.
I'd bet 37 Aurum that resolution comes in form of a new patch with new free Aurum and Iceland Man Wins Interwebs tshirts.

If they made the item prices a tenth of what they are now... well, they'd still be more than I'm willing to pay.
Guess I'm just not that interested.

Never.
Why? Because I'm a true capitalist. If I get more money than I need at the moment in RL, I'll either invest it or put it on the savings account until I find a way to invest it. If I get more ISK than I need at the moment in game, I'll either invest it and wait for the time when I might need it or help out a friend with some free ISK.
Before anyone jumping to any conclusions, I was playing this game for 4+ years mainly because it didn't support the "I haz cash, I win" model. Having ships appear out of thin air in NEX shop will be "I haz cash" model and will impact manufacturers. Having blueprints of ships in NEX shop will be "I haz cash" model and will impact POS owners/reserachers. Same goes for EVERY other item used anywhere in the chain of production, invention, reverse engineering or simply said shooting stuff. That rule includes ANY advantage like faction standings, skill training times, skill points, ship performance,... basically anything that will make YOUR character better by injecting cash into it.
So, no... I won't pay for performance upgrades either if they get deployed on TQ. In fact, I won't even be a subscriber any more if they do.
