Originally by: Jussarafinissi Pomeroy Is it just me, or do a lot of people seem too happy that CCP might hurt Eve? Is it pride that lets you know you were "correct", and has you smiling at this potentially massive mistake? I think it sucks, but it is sad, not something to get excited about. Am I wrong here?
Every time i see devs fail because of greediness, its always a good thing TBH. I was glad when warhammer failed, im glad to see rift fail, and im not glad yet but ill probably be down the line if eve fails because they let beancounters take over the roadmap for the game. Its a wake up call. You cant have your cake and eat it. Either you get smart gamers slowly into eve, or you go for mass appeal and you get... this.
The more companies fail trying to emulate WoW/blizzard because they are greedy, the more chances one indie company (you know like early eve) standing above the fray with quality gameplay.
Like it or not the I.Q. of any large group will be an average of 100 no matter how bad it ****es you off.
The fact that you base your gameplay experience based off of a complete misconception means that you will always be dis-satisfied. . Adapt and overcome or become a monkey on an evolution poster.

If you don't want to pay silly money for a vanity item, don't buy one. It has zero effect on game play.

Incarna is a massive kick in the balls to the players.
They have to try and recoup the development costs of WoD since they have realized it'll be years down the road... if ever before release if they can't even code the character generator and CQ to run decently..

its funny how all you people who say "just dont buy it" seems to miss the fact and forsight that this is step 1 in a ongoing plan.
how about when you cant damage a noobish enemy or get shot by a noob after training 6-7 years to become a good pvp,er because hes rich enough in rl to buy special ships or ammo or other stuff that gives him an edge over you poor sucker that "just" pays his monthly subscription?
try useing a little imagination, or simply read between the lines. |
