THE BSAC STORE
Welcome to the BSAC Store. The store offers you a unique resource to purchase Noble Exchange items that require a little over one Plex. Additional Aurums required to complete the purchase can be purchased from the AUR Exchange. An Exchange account is needed to purchase Items for the BSAC store. All items are delivered in Jita.
For example, if you would like to purchase a Men's Dress Shirt (3,600 AUR) you would normally need to purchase two Plexes. In contrast, by using this store, you can deposit one Plex in the Exchange (3,500 AUR) and purchase 100 AUR from the AUR Exchange. You will then use your AUR to purchase the shirt.
At this time, you can deposit Aurums by depositing a Plex (3,500 AUR) in the Exchange. Contact BSAC MMM for details. Once ccp lifts the AUR restrictions, single AUR can be deposited, traded, and withdraw in the AUR Exchange. Contact BSAC MMM or join our in-game channel BSACPUBLIC.

Since someone wanting to convert plex to 3500 aurums or an amount of aurums to whatever vanity items they desire doesn't require anyone to trade with in order to do so and can be done at any time, regardless of market forces and at their convenience, while someone wanting to convert aurums to plex or vanity items to some form of currency MUST have someone to trade with in order to do so, that would mean that plex can be traded for slightly more than 3500 aurums because people wanting to sell aurums have to go above 3500/plex in order for buyers to want to trade and same applies for vanity items. So wouldn't it, in theory, be cheaper to trade for clothes with ISK rather than buy them directly from the store with aurums anyway, since the people who are selling them HAVE to trade them to players, and in order to trade them to players they HAVE to offer a better deal than the store?

That does not appear to be the case. Remember, the person that buys the item via plex/aur conversion is taking the risk of the plex market crashing.
