Ill always have my League of Legends, but that's not something I can play all day. I am defiantly looking forward to GW2. Battlefield 3 for PC will hog 20% of my time. LoL another 20% and the rest will go to **** and Game of Thrones when the next season starts.

Manual flight in galactica is quite fun and challenging. It's a f2p rmt but at least they're honest about it.
Note to ccp it also sucks sometimes because it's a f2p with rmt. 2 day old characters insta popping you because they bought 50k sp or people dual and tripple boxing.
At least i know what eve will look like soon.

ArcheAge looked good, until i saw the WoW style ? quest mechanics.
Its a self proclaimed Hybrid Sandbox/Themepark. or more succintly, weak sauce.
Before they released in game footage, the description of the game, and its art, made it sound really cool. Very Sandbox, Very big, much complexity, deep items and crafting....
thne they went and slapped a Themepark style questing/leveling scheme ontop of it to attract leprechauns......

In the beginning EVE devs regularly visited the forums and posted, and there really was a feeling that the devs were into the game. You complained about something - it got fixed. Nowadays you have to make a formal complaint to a puppet representative that CCP doesn't really listen to and get ignored anyway. It has changed though - I am certain it's partially our fault since everything a dev said was being nitpicked to death, but there likely was also a corp policy about not posting unless ordered to. At least it feels like that.
I've liked the new BSG series, let's see if the MMORG is any good.

This is true. Hopefully since some of the Devs of Perpetuum are ex-Eve players they will learn from CCPs mistakes. One can only hope though.

Now this is a good thread.
Eve has lots of things going for it, that i havent' found other places
a persistant economy.. no bind on contact items.. almost everything other than skills transferable between players (and even then you can use game play to get more skilled characters from other players).
The one universe.. or at least a very huge universe with tens of thousands of people from throughout the world is great.. how low a number would be best would depend on lots of things..

Originally by: Leisen Playing BSGO, but Star Trek Online is looking pretty good too....Might check it out.
I've played it when they left beta and left after a month. It has a really nice integration of Avatar/Ship mode and the IP is neat too, but it's too stereotypical (Klingons and Romulans are always Teh Bad and so on) and too grindy for my taste. The missions are much more boring that the standings grind on EVE once you've ran a few, and I was able to max out my characters level in the month I played - and I did not play very much.
CCP could learn how to run a microtransaction store from them though. With each subscription you get some coinage for their store included, and it's enough to buy you several things. They are not quite vanity though, some items have an effect on the game. For instance you could by custom races like the 7-of-9 style Federized Borg (yes, including configurable breast size) that had slightly superior attributes than the "free" races. It's roughly comparable to the various races in EVE before they took away starting attributes - not a big advantage, but noticeable.
As I said, main reason I left was that there was a lot of grind, and PvP was highly formalized, with Klingons being the race tailored for PvP - but so underdeveloped that each Klingon had a Federation alt that kept sending him gear to be able to at least be decent.
Take everything with a large grain of salt however, they're out of beta for a while now and stuff might have changed a lot.

Apart from a few days here and there on the new FPS games as they came out, I havenÆt really played any other game since starting Eve a few years ago. Up until now it has been all I really wanted to play.
But now IÆm going to start looking around for something else. I have 4 Eve accounts, and when my sub runs out I will be cancelling at least 3 of them, maybe all 4. By then I am sure that they will have removed the option to not load the station environments. Hopefully I am wrong, but the total lack of response to the outrage that has ensued after this patch does not fill me with any hope that CCP will listen to us.
Its a real shame as I love this game, but CCP have gone too far this time, so onto something else, and that perpetuum looks promising.

I'd add that with some of the matchups for the KV (probably one out of three ) the 107 will one shot most of the tanks on the field and its only the speed of fire that holds you back from killing them all or finishing off the bigger ones with 7% heatlth before all the little puny buzzards on your team decend on the maimed victims.

On a side note - yes, World of Tanks is pretty good choice.
Last I heard was a news post towards the start of this year, basically stated that he was founding a company for the game with an Epic Games employee which would mean they could work on the engine and game development full time. I believe they are looking to develop the engine and license it out to a few companies to generate some funding for the more expensive parts of Infinity development.
Anyway, considering I first read about QFE in 05, I'm not holding any hopes for a speedy release. News post said they *may* enter beta in 2012, so I'm pegging a beta will hit late 2013/early 2014 at the earliest. ...oh wait

Played Perpetuum for 3 hours and unsubbed both my EVE accounts. People here arent exagerating. It is exactly like EVE(when it was good) but with mechs. Unsharded persistent world, player driven economy, kick ass pvp,,,,, No game to buy, 15 day free trial and $9.95/month after that. No reason not to try it. Only been out 6 months so its like EVE in its glory days. HIGHLY recommend it.
Also using WOW as my fallback but I dont know, Perpetuum is preety sweet and will b hogging most my time for the near future.

Edited by: Ashen Angel on 23/06/2011 12:47:04 Just updated Runes of magic.
figured I'd go fantasy again, and they just released a new expansion again. So new content to explore (and can enjoy it for free)
May drag out my LoTRO lifetimer membership too
Course I think I got a few other games I played/play off and on. Or i could find more games, it's nice seeing how many free to play games are out there (that are not imbalanced by the cash shops)
PS: my stuff is mine, I'll keep it on the character even when the sub expires to make the beggars cry tears of rage at not being able to haves my stuffs

Addictive, you will play it next 6 months 8 hours/day without any problem... it is free, there is no adds and you don't need to wear monocle to be elite. ------------------------------------------------- Play with the best - die like the rest starwreck.com - support the cause :) |

Edited by: Spike Larosse on 23/06/2011 12:51:34 Well, persistent single shard sandbox MMO... I'd recommend Mortal Online. It's fantasy setting though, and it's early days and quite rough around the edges.
Also waiting for Infinity: The Quest for Earth. But that game seems so far in the future (in terms of release) that it's more of a tease than a real option.

107 is a lot better. 152 is fun for a bit but has trouble penning higher tiered tanks.
You'll have to use HE of course

Indeed it is very rough around the edges but it also shows a lot of potential. Its probably the only game that is out and will be out for awhile that mirrors what Eve is/use to be.

Edited by: Bischopt on 23/06/2011 13:31:23 I dont really have any other games ready. Nothing that can hold my interest like EVE could anyway. Having said that, I'm really looking forward to battlefield 3 which seems pretty awesome. Also I'm probably going to play L.A. Noire again because I messed up a couple of times on my first playthrough. Best game I've played in ages btw.
Oh and I hope the new deus ex isnt bad.
