Although i have walking turned off because it taxes my poor old laptop just a litte i do have to say Kudos on a job well done guys. Including a smooth transition for me as well so appearantly the last 3 updates that have crashed me you ladies and gents made use of the specs i sent you. I thank you very much.
Now, i would like to have 2 expansions done on stations.
1. Poker table, we should be able to gamble in space and if we are sick of missions, burn some isk at the dealer table.
2. Pee, i want a bathroom to recycle my spiced wine.

So you are reading the forums and selectively replying to the posts that make you feel warm and fuzzy while ignoring the vast majority of your player-base?
I suppose that is the level of professionalism we expect from CCP.

Originally by: Dante Marcellus And I really have to say, what a bunch of entitled little crybabies. You guys really need to step back and take a look at what you're doing here.
You're mindlessly insulting people that work tirelessly to please its playerbase, even if they aren't always perfect and on time and yet you're here tossing all of that out of the window, saying things like "fire yourself," or acting like some 4chan moron posting what you think is a clever picture.
I really hope the blinder-wearing whiners of the forum realize that they:
1. Can leave and take a stab at creating your own MMO (guarantee it would suck)
2. Realize that even though we're all avatars here, including CCP, we're all also human beings.
That's all I have to say.
There is little mindless insulting going on. CCP have not worked tirelessly to please its player-base. CCP have worked tirelessly to exploit its player base while delivering an increasingly inferior product. Eve is by far the best MMO on the market. Somehow CCP are ****ing it up.

Yes, Incarna CQ is an excellent start at the pilots (non ship) physical environment. I understand the need to roll it it out in stages. It is already good and I am sure it will very cool in the future.
However, I hope I am around to enjoy it as the other issues washing around the forums trouble me a great deal. Don't give in to the dark side CCP.

The reason why i resubscribed to eve online last night after leaving the game in 2009 is because of this patch. The walking and interacting is finally entering the game!
I am by no means a hardcore player, I played for a few months in 2009 and some months in 2006 and some in 2004...off and on basically, but im back! lol

I too would just like to say that walking in stations is pretty cool. I love the atmosphere and can't wait for future iterations and the rest of it to be completed.
I would also like to tell CCP that all of the anger on the forums isn't about Walking in Stations, but about the excessive prices being charged for items in the NEX. If you had picked fair prices immediately, Incarna would see no more anger than any other release has. ----------

Edited by: Edward Olmops on 23/06/2011 21:32:05 I also like Incarna. Period.
The CQ look great, although I miss some of the menu buttons. Anyway, that was the deal: the old menu remains, so no one can complain.
And I was really shocked at first sight about the AUR prices (and the fact that there are only a few items in the NeX.) Like 40 Euros for a monocle?!??! WTF???
But then I thought again. Why would CCP do this? Stupidity? Unlikely. Then they would not be able to produce this game. To squeeze money out of us? No. It is most basic economic knowledge that you don't earn most when the price is highest. Almost no one will buy the stuff.
So what then? Two things came to my mind:
-PLEX prices. They start with expensive items so not many people will actually buy the stuff. That way, not many PLEXes will be converted and the PLEX price will not rise by too much. In other words: if the would have introduced cheaper clothes, there would be a risk that the PLEX price would rise dramatically and that would affect ANY capsuleer - especially those who have to get along with no real money at all!
-Rarity. If monocles would cost only 500 AUR, everyone and his mom would be wearing 2 of them - at least. That would kind of ruin the "uniqueness" would it not? They could of course sell only a limited number of each item at a lower price. But who would be the lucky (=first ones) to get one? Everything would be sold out on day one by some greedy merchants and then hit the market at the price of a few billions. Just because it's rare. And then CCP would not be able to get back their investment as they stated in their dev blog. I estimate that each and every individual item costs several thousand euros to be implemented in the game. The thing needs to be invented, drawn, discussed, modelled, animated and tested in conjunction with all other stuff - which will easily consume a couple of mandays worth of developing effort!
They will most likely evaluate the demand, hire extra programmers for their new department "virtual goods production" and implement more and more stuff over time. Eventually, we get cheaper stuff in the future (5000 shirts sold at 1 Euro are the same as 500 shirts sold at 10 Euros). But the price directly corresponds to rarity.
Oh, and about the bugs: It's a completely new technology, so I am not too surprised to see a couple of bugs, but I am confident that this will improve over time.

This expansion is a massive disappointment and really feels like CCP have lost their way with the ability to add new content and/or features to the sandbox. Gameplay mechanics have become completely sterile with major holes and issues with core mechanics which do not seem to be scheduled for fixes within the next decade.
Walking in stations is a fine addition to building immersion, but someone needs to educate CCP about prioritisation. Cannibilising your own customer base by adding cheap MT garbage at the expense of the core game is a poor choice. 18 months since the last meaninful upgrade and 18 months until the next meaningful upgrade.
The only thing keeping eve afloat if the lack of a decent competitor MMO.

Once again, the forums are not the vast majority of the player base.

Hi! "sexy kendra on the mic"
#1 INCARNA = AWESOME, really funny to see my face, check the news, check PI, ... #2 great job, the last patch fix a memory leak with my PC, i can run 4x accounts without any BSOD! #3 running 4x time (not max graphic) the "cybersex room" eat 75<>90% of my RAM (6gb) and FAN speed must be @ max (Thermatake ftw). >> Not a critical issue, we play INTERNET SPACESHIP and not a FPS (hope it will be fixed for DUST, nvm...DUST only on PS3 so i dont care)
BUT #4 now with full details in the room ... "WTF" does the engine used for create my face and render the room are the same ? or it is just because i'm running a ATI? (second case = FIX IT PLZ !?) #5 LET ME check YOUTUBE and local video (yeah read DIVX) on the "TV". #6 Where's the **** channel, the ccp fish tank channel? (lol) #6' Why does we get a bed if we cant use?
AND #7 finish INCARNA (the 3 last room, open the door) #8 plz work on the next extension with ADD VALUE CONTENT (pvp, ship, gun, pve, ..) "you know" the real EVE online #9 about NEX, really ... I DONT CARE and i think ppl should do the same #10 about the rage of "base player", am convinced that most people who screaming are scared that the price of PLEX can rise and then they will soon pay the subscription like others
...kiss guyz...your kendra

I think at a closer look most people feel the same way. I was really looking to get my own avatar to walk around with, like in other mmos. Though right now I also feel disappointed, because walking in stations really kills you cpu. I hope you can improve performance in the future, like you did with other features of Eve. Also please review the noble exchange, current converse ratings are just ridiculous.
