Also what the f#cking hell is my space ship doing there floating aimlessly it should be sat on one the pads in the background. The only saving grace about CQ is the shiney features built in to shader model 3.0 (objects have a nice shimer) which is nothing to do with CCP. Which btw they couldn't implement properly either without melting some poor sods computers. p.s. The whole HTFU (** poor attitude btw for any company) will blow up in your face one day and you'll only have youself to blame. p.p.s. you really need to sack CCP soundwave hes a d!ck a first class pecker. It's certainly because they don't want to take the "feed the fire approach". The thing is, is that the more they neglect to leave things like this, the worst it will get. They should start taking a pro-active approach and openly discuss these issues (and not with ALTS, as they at least seem to be currently doing). Right now it looks like they are probably crossing their T's and dotting their I's before engaging the community - when they should be openly discussing what is actually broken and how to fix it (it looks like CYA is far more important, than the player base). Lot's of luck CCP, I think you'll be needing it!

I like wandering around the CQ, even if I do develop total rapist-eyes when I head out on the balcony. And I like watching the ships from the balcony vantage point... gives an excellent sense of scale which was somewhat missing before. It's a little slow and choppy on my computer, but switching my graphic settings to 'memory' took care of that. I am rather disappointed that CCP filled the NEX with nothing but straight up bling rather than character customization items. I can see some things being pricey, like the 'Scarecrow' and 'Slaver's Fang' voluvol tattoos, since they are supposed to be ultra-rare.. As a Sansha RP'er I was really looking forward to that monocle, since external cyberware is our thing. But I'm not about to hock my Nightmare to get it. Bad call on that.... But I have to say I like the direction that this is setting us up for.. WIS will be great, when it truly gets here. And the vanity NEX will be fine, if CCP realizes that not all items need to be symbols of wealth. The meta-game/commodity NEX.. yeah that's kinda scary. Only time will tell. p.s. yes people, I know that MT might destroy the game as we know it. But it doesn't have to. Here's hoping it won't. ------------------------------- Within Sansha Outside.

They start with expensive items so not many people will actually buy the stuff. That way, not many PLEXes will be converted and the PLEX price will not rise by too much. In other words: if the would have introduced cheaper clothes, there would be a risk that the PLEX price would rise dramatically and that would affect ANY capsuleer - especially those who have to get along with no real money at all! -Rarity. If monocles would cost only 500 AUR, everyone and his mom would be wearing 2 of them - at least. That would kind of ruin the "uniqueness" would it not? They could of course sell only a limited number of each item at a lower price. But who would be the lucky (=first ones) to get one? Everything would be sold out on day one by some greedy merchants and then hit the market at the price of a few billions. Just because it's rare. And then CCP would not be able to get back their investment as they stated in their dev blog. I estimate that each and every individual item costs several thousand euros to be implemented in the game. The thing needs to be invented, drawn, discussed, modelled, animated and tested in conjunction with all other stuff - which will easily consume a couple of mandays worth of developing effort! They will most likely evaluate the demand, hire extra programmers for their new department "virtual goods production" and implement more and more stuff over time. Eventually, we get cheaper stuff in the future (5000 shirts sold at 1 Euro are the same as 500 shirts sold at 10 Euros). But the price directly corresponds to rarity. Oh, and about the bugs: It's a completely new technology, so I am not too surprised to see a couple of bugs, but I am confident that this will improve over time.

Gameplay mechanics have become completely sterile with major holes and issues with core mechanics which do not seem to be scheduled for fixes within the next decade. Walking in stations is a fine addition to building immersion, but someone needs to educate CCP about prioritisation. Cannibilising your own customer base by adding cheap MT garbage at the expense of the core game is a poor choice. 18 months since the last meaninful upgrade and 18 months until the next meaningful upgrade. The only thing keeping eve afloat if the lack of a decent competitor MMO.
