CCP pran, i doubt you get the time to read this. More than likely it will be buried in the chaos, but here it goes anyhow.
Im not mad about the updates. Eve/ccp must evolve to survive. I can see that. As a player, as long as the Aur isnt a requirement and adds to the sim without causing a massive imbalance, i say continue on. If Aur is used so someone can spend real life currency to get an advanced toon with skills or etc etc, again i see no issue. I myself like to work on the skills, earn the isk, the equipment ships etc. Thats part of eve i enjoy. If im Required to use Aur to advance my characters skills or equipment, if im forced to pay real life income besides the monthly fee just to goof around, mine, mission or irritate others with irrational thoughts and unique ways of getting podded...then i will have to discontinue and find something else for entertainment.
I like what ive seen, in the CQ. This foundation has a lot of potential. Opening the door for more interaction. However, the prices of your items in the exchange are not acceptable. Some clothing in the real world does cost an arm and a leg, but usually those are limited to millions...not the costs of battleships or whole fleets worth of ships (in refrence to the eye monicle that costs 4 plex, 68bucks, or 1.6 billion game isk. I can do a lot with 1.6 billion. I can do a lot in the real world with 68 bucks. If i want something for fluff, fun, to make me look different...fine, give us a variety (sometime.) make it so we can spend 50 aur on glasses, jackets etc etc, not a full plex.
If aur is the way your going, dont cut out the old methods. Allow us the ability to do things the reg time consuming way. If ya dont, or make so many changes its impossible to enjoy the sim without forking over 3 grand...your going to loose a lot of players. This is my fear.
15 a month is enough, if i want to spend plex for aur, to get cool things its a bonus. If i have to spend the aur to get devices Just to survive even a simple task like ...transporting stuff in 1.0 high sec. its just going to derail, and fall apart. Ill loose interest and my income will go elsewhere.
Youve changed eve a lot since 03. I havnt been on this account all that time, but its evolution is amazing. Try not to kill it off before it evolves again. :)
