I guess they deserve to be on the list. They're unsubbed like the rest, only they didn't have to find the 'unsubscribe' button
Don't know exactly how many accounts they are worth though.
Helicity was permabanned on three accounts.
No idea about Liang.

This is very funny because way back in 2003 that was what Pann kept saying.
This time the sky IS falling. The financial sky right onto CCP.
Enjoy the denial.

Originally by: ColdStealth So far based on the count of cancelled accounts, thats nearly $500,000 in lost subscription revenue per year.
CCP is a big company, but not big enough that losing $500,000 from an already struggling yearly profit margin isn't going to hurt badly.
R.I.P Eve-Online, It was fun.
If more of the Russian community posted here we might get more of an idea what the reaction is there. We already have the troll ****wits trying to cash out (hi PL/Hydra) but more feedback would be good.

I might be in a Russian alliance but I'm actually from Florida
Then go ask someone who does? It was never intended to be an insult matey, most of my friends in-game are from ex CCCP states.
Feedback dude, go get some otherwise why post?

Just over 750,000Ç per year so far. Remember that most people never read the forums so its probably a bit over a million euros a year and its early on Sunday.
Having a good weekend Hilmar?

Originally by: Mitsurugii Whats the tally upto on unsubbed players now? 81 pages is pretty impressive...
Its around 4700 accounts cancelled so far.
That equates to 70,500Ç monthly loss or 850,000Ç annual loss of revenue
Assuming CCP is making the same sort of "profit" as other years that figure is around 20% of their profit. Some guy is off to get their latest financial report (2010-2011) today in Iceland so people can see whether this insanity is driven by need or greed.
Keep the pressure on guys, CCP still haven't got the message and remember they HAVE broken their word on this already.
From P9 of Greed is Good, specifically the section entitled "Delivering The Goods : Virtual Sales in Incarna" -
Not all virtual purchases will focus on customization: some will simply be new items, ammunition, ships, etc. that can be purchased outright.
This is NOT in the head-to-head section. This is the plan and it hasn't changed.

I can't blame him for that, tedious job and frankly who thought it'd get this big?
Certainly not CCP
Keep the pressure on. The more people hit the unsub button then the more leverage the CSM has with the meetings this week.
I think its a waste of time myself as its clear CCP has been planning these changes for some time. Whoever makes a u-turn on this at CCP will end up being the fallguy. We'll see but I'm not hopeful.
May as well try though mmm?

NB - I'm not implying you are anything to do with CCP.

Someone has got the financial statements.
Initial thoughts are there's a big drop in profits in 2010 compared to 2009. There was also a big increase in cash on hand - possibly to payoff the 2008 loan? Dunno really.
The "other current liabilities" has stayed pretty static for a while. Would be interesting seeing a breakdown on that.
These are 2010 figures and of course we had the summer of rage last year which hit subs badly - the last 6 months haven't been great either looking at eve-offline.net
Could be they are in cashflow problems. Could be they're stunningly profitable. I'm not enough of a weasely beancounter to work it out.
My gut feeling is things are getting tight in financial terms. WoD and Dust have been "in development" a fair old while now.
Anyway no doubt somone will post a detailed analysis of it.

Edited by: Othran on 27/06/2011 20:01:32 We are now over the point at which this is costing CCP 1 million euros a year in revenue.
Awesome job. Keep the unsubs coming. The more of you that do it then the weaker CCPs position becomes.
Who knows, CSM might get something in writing from Hilmar if you push hard enough.
To the nay-sayers - this expansion is already an utter disaster for CCP. Even if most of the people in this thread keep subbing.
Keep the unsubs coming and we'll see what we see at the end of the week.

Hmmm I wonder if anyone has bothered telling the CSM? Were it me and I were from the USA I'd be considering telling CCP to present it themselves rather than miss the holiday weekend.
As I thought, its a waste of time. CCP have their plans and the door is plain to see for all who don't like those plans.

Keep the pressure up people. For the next day or so it'll help then you need to decide whether Eve is over for you.
You are going to have to be realistic though - MTs will be in Eve from now on. For someone in Iceland to admit it was a mistake would be the end of their career in CCP. Its that simple.
Rest of it is game-affecting MT items - they ARE coming and you can't stop that either.
An example may help?
Legal boosters have already been trialled (enjoy your Quafe Zero did you?) and that'll happen. The argument will be that you can always buy them for isk, but if they become a required part of PvP then the guys with the credit cards will win long-term as they can sell the boosters to fund ship losses - oh and use them of course. The idea of blueprints don't help much either - T2 lottery days/monopolies ring any bells with some of you?
So what you say or do won't much matter. CCP broke their word already so another promise means nothing.
It is still worth posting in here though

i will post more about this as it gets better :) keep it up CCP us not WoW players love you!!!!
I doubt anyone with a brain bothers what a failed scammer like yourself says.
As an aside the trolling in favour of MT starts at specific times - all related to the time people get up in various US TZs. The trolling starts at about 0700 EST (1200 GMT) and more or less stops from about midnight PST (0800 GMT). Welcome to your future Eve
Edit for GMT times, which are also "Evetime" for the confused.

I've read the dev blog, listened to the PR and the bottom line is that I don't believe you CCP.
As such I'm not willing to waste anymore of my life on you - and bloody hell doesn't that sound utterly sad.
I'm reminded of the Simpsons when all the kids came out to play after Marge nerfs Itchy&Scratchy
I have outstanding subs (next May sadly on two) so until then if I'm online I will be playing for the lulz. Nothing else.

The figure of 360,000 is quite old now. 330k would be more realistic IMHO.
Tippia is keeping a track of things here - Incarna PCU and there are many other sites that graph server population too.
The tl;dr is that the PCU at this time last year (4th July etc) was higher than now. We'll see what happens in the next few weeks but none of the graphs on Tippia's site look nice for CCP.

Indeed it won't as he's still a shareholder - probably the only shareholder with >1% of shares who has any idea at all what Eve used to be. In fact he's probably the only shareholder with significant holdings who could be considered even remotely "technical" - that should worry you more.
The rest is owned by VC funders - and not the most reputable either in some instances.
tl;dr VC guys been holding stock for ages; doesn't look like the big payday will happen; maybe time to cash out - one at least NEEDS to cashout.

I don't actually think it makes any difference who the CEO is.
The die is cast - Dust and WoD dev costs are past the point of cancelling/deferring.
If Dust bombs then the VC investors will want out. While lending CCP money at 11.6% is nice business its not commensurate with the risk.
Somewhat perversely the core business of CCP - Eve - looks like a solid earner in historical terms. Nothing spectacular but solid earnings year on year. The proverbial "golden goose" even
Greed is good? Perhaps not in this instance but CCP have some shareholders who can't afford to be anything but "greedy" because otherwise they're potentially going bankrupt.
NB - the above refers to CCP shareholders, not CCP as a company.
