I started playing this game a year ago, (almost to date) and have absolutely loved this game. Havent found anything similar to it, i've never been able to consistently play a game for so long.
I've started losing interest lately due to quite a few reasons. I have never seen a game where so many people in the player base are consistently unhappy with the exact same content of the game without any kind of actual fix implemented. I do understand that this game is extremely complex and these things can be difficult. But it actually is your job to fix these things.
Stop with the vague posting, stop with the dodging the blame, just stop with all the bull****.
This last patch was just a complete letdown on every aspect. 700 mb's of what exactly? Small content of captains quarters, that many thousands of players have already disabled not even a week into the patch. There was a chance to do something very unique here and it was a total letdown.
I played on SiSi, i realized what was coming in the new patch, but i thought that there would be actually something useful added to the game. Not just captain's quarters, and the addition of vanity items. BOTH OF WHICH DO NOT AFFECT ANY ASPECT OF GAME PLAY.
I havent been following the forums very often but i have heard about a leaked article that said there was talk of making certain items only obtainable through the new aurum(sp?) currency. Which i wouldnt really have a problem with, but these items are going to affect gameplay more than on a vanity basis.
I can also understand that there are alot of posts made here on a daily basis and this one will probably not even be read by anyone who can change anything. But i felt that it was necessary to post why i am un-subbing my accounts.
I would like to come back to playing this game eventually when things actually get sorted out, game isnt filled with bugs, actually have competent people leading the future of the game.
tl;dr I am very unhappy with the way that this game is currently due to the choices by the dev teams. I may come back to playing if things change.

I canceled 2 out of 3 of my accounts *HOPING* they'd do something to reverse the declining quality in the game. If they don't, the final one will follow...

At this point, I'm not sure what CCP can do to win me back. It doesn't matter if they deny they'll be adding non-vanity MT items, I'm not sure I believe a word that comes out of their mouthpieces now.

Hilmar has just said that will pay attention to what we the players do, and not what we say. Here is a perfect example of what many players are doing. Nearly 1000 EVE accounts have been cancelled, is that not enough, Hilmar, or are you going to start listening to our voices now?
