Exactly. This whole permaban thing looks very much like desperate damage control than anything else. Remove a vocal player. Its the same logic that guides army snipers to kill the leaders of demonstrations in Syria and Libya. Take out the leaders and the sheeps may be easier to control.

To be honest, though I feel similar disgust towrds CCP, now I've seen what he posted he deserved a ban until he calmed down a bit.
Remember it is just a game, and they are just real people working doing their job (albeit badly for us); death threats and over the top insults don't serve any real purpose other than to make the person throwing them around look childish.
A permanent ban is over the top though since you do actually regularly see a lot worse posted in game after ganking someone etc - those petitions never seem to result in much.

Heli should definetly NOT have been banned. To be quite bloody honest I feel alot like he does. MT should be kept for vanity stuff only. And if I have been lied to about this by CCP (and it looks like i have) then maybe a slow painfull death is exactly what CCP deserves.
This is no way to treat Helicity or ANY of the 300k customers who pay good money to enjoy a challenging and demanding game. Sort yourselves out CCP.
Applolgise, decide where your loyalties lie (Money or your community) and free Helicity.
