This rather enlightening link needs to be shared over and over again: http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/CCP-Games-Reviews-E159347.htm
After reading that, is anyone really surprised by this week's disasters? -----------

So you honestly think there's no truth to the complaints, even though they fit very nicely with everything else we're seeing?

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!
For years I haven't been aware of CCP lack of professionalism and yet they still managed to create this game and the website. No wonder they have been putting MT into EVE. : /
I'd say CCP need massive corporation reform, internally and externally. : / :

EDIT: some 'interesting' quotes:
"The lack of professionalism is mind blowing."
"Fun game play is not a priority, promises made to investors and aesthetics are."
"CCP does not take criticism well and often ignores retrospectives."
"Several years now CCP has predicated insane subscriber goals that cannot be met. Naturally this is met with scepticism by the employees but it falls on deaf ears."
"Communication and knowledge sharing is a disaster, there is little or no documentation for older areas of development and documentation is still considered optional by many."
"CCP struggles severely with internal and external communications. The senior management preaches corporate values which are unfortunately never reflected in actions."
"There is a blatant lack of vision and direction for the project I work on and the people leading it are allowed to remain in their position on a basis of friendship rather than competence."
Finally, some insight.

It's amazing what I've found out about CCP in the last week and the difference in how I feel about them as a company now compared to how I did before.
I used to believe 100% they knew what they were doing, and now that belief has been pretty much turned on it's head.
These employee reviews of what it's like to work there and how unproffesional and lacking in direction CCP is as a company is very telling, and explains a lot about what's happened in the last few days.
I am so close to cancelling my subs (x2)

Just forget them, cancel your subscription and only resubscribe if they decide to reform their company and keep MT off the table. For now, your best alternative is to play Perpetuum. http://www.perpetuum-online.com/Main :

Don't expect to see attributable whistle blowing. Sites like glassdoor are often the only venue for games industry employees to vent.

Having read all 10 reviews on Glassdoor's website, I am sad to say that I am not in the least surprised. I have been in this game since 2004, and over the years with every little tid-bit of information and communication out of CCP, I have come to believe that the management of this company is still treating it as thier own private game run out of a garage somewhere. There's no attempt to try to up the level of professionalism, and there's a strong thread running through all the comminucation I have seen, of a deep rooted arrogance towards the player base. Add to that the out of control financial side of things, where the hirings clearly outstrip the incrremental increase in revenue from subscriber growth. This will end badly. CCP is still in business despite all of this, but only because there is currently no alternative to EVE Online. Once that changes - everything will change...

Interesting and seems the same complaints come up over & over.
1) Lack of any clear direction or focus for the game.
2) Lack of communication from upper mngt and they don't listen to anyone.
3) Un-professional work environment.
4) Below standard pay with lack of advancement.
5) Lack of funds to develop all 3 games.
Seems for the most part we see these same problems trickle down into the customer relations as well. CCP lacks professionalism with it's contact to it's player base. We get no real communication and it's pretty obvious they have no focus or planned direction with the game as every new 'updates is just bit and pieces of stuff that never gets finished.

"Cons
The lack of professionalism is mind blowing. Procedures that are common in other companies are not used here and considered a waste of time. There is no solid vision for EVE which leaves employees with no other option than to start work and find out what is wanted by trial and error, this is what CCP means with Agile development.
Fun game play is not a priority, promises made to investors and aesthetics are. æIf it looks good then it is goodÆ is an often heard motto. CCP is committed to use technology in EVE as well as WoD and DUST, so certain features are made and used in EVE knowing they will not be fun, nor fit EVE and no one expects them to be appreciated by the playerbase. Alienating the playerbase of EVE further. Objections from employees who point this out are waved away.
CCP does not take criticism well and often ignores retrospectives. Criticism is considered to be a negative attitude and is severely frowned upon. A lot of effort goes into maintaining a good morale with a lot of internal PR. After all itÆs cheaper to print posters than pay an average salary to employees.
Several years now CCP has predicated insane subscriber goals that cannot be met. Naturally this is met with scepticism by the employees but it falls on deaf ears. The result is that the company is suffering because we cannot sustain the development of EVE, DUST and WOD. EVE is not creating enough revenue which means that solutions are sought, solutions that CCP was vehemently against a few years ago.
Career progression is nonexistent unless you become friends with the right clique of people and use the right corporate buzzwords. Hard work is not something that will set you apart, most people work hard until they become so disillusioned as they realise it makes no difference and slack off.
Combine this with the below average pay (CCP pays 30% to 50% less than other companies) and youÆll often hear a lot of frustration when work is discussed outside of the office by people who have been here for some time. The longer you stay the less you start to care about the game you develope, because no one else does.
Advice to Senior Management
Recruit very senior people from the games industry and actually listen to what they say. Stop believing your own hype."
