I feel that CCP has over looked the issue
Many chars donĘt care about vanity items , they donĘt care how much they cost
What they do care about is when skills, ships, mods and ammo can only be bought with micro transactions
When the game gets to a point of it doesnĘt matter how long you have played the game to be able to fly ships, but more of have you the RL wallet to pay for it
Then the game is broken and the player base that have spent time in game to achieve this are bound to be unhappy
How many chars that play eve are alts,. CCP has no way of knowing how much of its player base is actually alts
What they seem fail to realise that their actual player base could have a large % of alts
So whilst they may feel that a low % is actually not happy with the direction ofthe newsletter , they might be getting out of touch with more than they know
In the light of recent leaks on the internet and the damage this has caused with far larger companies than CCP, its alarming of their almost smug response
The internet gaming community can be fickle and it can destroy a game just as fast as it builds it
You need to listen to the people that are the game and are your business and not stick with your business plan so adamantly, as without your player base you have no business
In the recent light of much larger companies than ccp,having to take note of leaks
Surely such a smug and off topic response was not wise,as I have read in the forums,you have tried to dodge the elephant in the room

Yes, I'd say closer to 2/3 are alt accounts = 150'000 active players out of 350'000 accounts. If you look at the post where people give notice if they cancel subs, very few have 1 account. Most have at least 2, often 3-4. Sometimes 9, or even 16.

"306 people and 709 accounts" around page 10. That means 2,31 each on average. 350'000 / 2,31 = 150'000 active real players.

<100k active individuals that play eve at any given time. Rest are alts or BS fluff.
that 46k online is probably more like 5 or 10k

Using a simple guess
40% have 1 account
30% have 2 accounts
20% have 3 accounts
10% have 4 accounts
X = number of humans,
1(.4)X + 2(.3)X + 3(.2)X + 4(.1)X = 360,000
2.0 X = 360,000
X = 180,000 is in my mind a lower limit on the number of people. I know the number of people most of us know have 2+ accounts, but I really think there are MANY solo players with one account doing their own things.

Players have an average of 2.25 accounts. That's an average of 6.75 alts, assuming everyone is filling up their character slots.
