I don't know why but I really like listening to the Beastie Boys while playing Eve.
What do you guys listen to? What gets you in the mood?
Do you listen to different music when you are going into battle as opposed to mining?

First off, I don't mine, that's woman's work.
I used to prefer rave music, hard house and such... lately though I've been soured on that, and have begun exploring other kinds of music. Melodic metal is nice, as are certain movie soundtracks (Black Hawk Down, Dark City, Star Trek movie scores)...
Currently listening to One Ton - Super Sex World.

Depends on what I'm doing.
De/Vision, Icon Of Coil, Assemblage 23 and VNV Nation mostly these days. Then with a few throwbacks to old-schol (psy/hard)trance, hardhouse and electro.

The Pixies, Interpol, Joy Divison and Ivan Smagghe have been getting alot of play from me recently. Although most of the time I just listen to Last.FM which mixes it up. As for going into battle, you should be on TS not listening music

For just cruisin around doing agent missions n such, it's mainly:
Dir En Grey, My Dying Bride, Circle Takes The Square, or From Autumn to Ashes...
for everything else:
Forever I Burn, Converge, Incantation, Bodies in the gears of the apparatus, or Daughters.
Of course, the soundtrack changes with the mood.. but I find grindcore or thrash-death the best for combat. It makes your eyes bounce around and your heart beat (specially with double bass drums) 
Oh, and Anaal is pretty good. \m/

I feel like such a Philistine when I say this, but lately I've taken to listening to rap when I play Eve.
A friend of mine picked me up some .50 Cent mixtapes in NYC and I've been bumping them nonstop. Other favorites include The Game, Aesop Rock, Paul Wall, Nas, T.I., Talib Kweli, and Mos Def.

What he said. But I center around power metal and any classical/choir tracks that get the blood pumping.
And on the very rare occasion I do mine... it has to be something to keep me preoccupied. Like comedy routines or books on tape.

Anything classical or metal\rock for when in pvp or ratting. Ur either so relaxed that u do things like a breeze or u rush in and do as much damage b4 u go boom.

It all depends. I like some of Hans Zimmer's stuff (movie soundtracks to The Rock, Hunt for Red October, etc.) Muse, and anything rock.

i hope you wouldnt mind adding guns n roses, sabbath, helloween, judas priest, megadeth, motorhead and maybe even van halen to that list? ooh even venom, and wasp?
if thats also on ur list then get an eve radio going with some proper music 
i would, but if it was me itd be bathory 23/7
