I don't care though, as long as it stays pay2win free, I'm good2go.

Downloaded yesterday but had to go to work ... Since there is still no option to avoid the CQs, I'll be running the tutorials. Even if I don't wind up subbing in Perp, it's time to move on from EvE - I will take the Hilmar challenge of action over words.

Might as well ask it seeing as everyone keeps asking CCP this....is there any guarantee that they won't go the way of MT's or gold ammo with this game too one day ?
Also slightly concerned there's no contact phone / fax support if needed - I'd want to see that at least before starting to spend money on it.

It's not. It's been beta for almost a year before it went subscription earlier this year. One of our good buddies from FCON was a GM before he left to play outright. Look for Gremrod.
I had an account there, I hope my name is still in the database.

Inforgraph of player corporation sizes. And as you can see in the middle, the "New Eden Exiles" corp formed from just the leaving eve players has already eclipsed the oldest and largest corps, and is still growing at around 5 members an hour on average. It's still not as powerful as the Powerblock alliances, but it's getting there. Can't wait to see the first 100 man+ newbie bot pvp roam.

Confirming the Perpetuum DEVs and GMs are amazing. If you've got a problem, those guys actually care. I would say it's unbelievable, but then I remembered that's what employees of a company should do, especially if they're passionate about what they've created. I guess I just forgot that's how things work, given years of this shoddy "go **** yourself" attitude CCP has.

Started it yesterday. So far I like it. I found it interesting that there were about 6 devs present while I was doing the tutorial and one of them actually pm'ed me and walked me through a part I was having difficulty with.
In Eve, if you ask for a dev in help channel, all you get are 50 people yelling at you that there are no devs there noob.

Join the Eve custom chat channel and I'm sure someone there will point you in the right direction. You do have to subscribe to join the corp though.

I can confirm this. Had an issue with one of the early missions (well, hadnŠt payed attention in the tutorial, actually. ) and a dev helped me in die help-channel

I have played perpetuum online for 2 days now, its a really fun game with helpful hardworking devs, being that so many more subs are coming in and they have that much more cash to "invest in their current product" <-----CCP..... it should get even better. Any doubters should at least try the trial it is truly fun.. I cant say im going to stop eve for sure but if im going to un sub its going to be because of this game.

To extract it you will need 7-Zip.
You will also need to have DirectX 9 installed on your machine.
Instructions: - DL all 3 7z files (total size 471MB). - Extract the folder from archive to a folder of your liking. - Start game by clicking on "Perpetuum.exe" file. - Before logging in game you will have to register an account here. - Optional: If needed, install DirectX 9.

7zip is actually about 4-5 years more recent than winrar. And arguably a better compression program overall.
