That took this long to get ready? Disappointed. Sorry Zulu, but that trust players once had in you and your company has been placed in serious if not fatal jeopardy. Respect takes an eternity to earn, and an instant to lose.

Shorter than I had hoped but still calming (to an extend).
Sucks about the new time limit (but eh, I can manage graduation in the meanwhile then xD).

WT please give us a little credit.
The CSM is nothing more than a PR tool for CCP.
Also they lied about incarna, they lied about MT. Now they want to rebuild trust, shut the goddamn store until the 1st July, you want trust then start building some

they never said they weren't going to sell ships, or skills, or anything. and in fact, they said no further comment til they talk to the CSM, who they have already cut out of the loop
this is just a way for them to buy 2 weeks or so to figure out what to do, and hopefully calm down the news reports til then. nothing will change, CSM already tried to tell them about what would happen if they tried this 2 CSMs ago and CCP did what it wanted to do anyway

Just another load of BS. CSM can not be trusted for a start. Secondly why should they have to deal with us. You created this BS storm and you know exactly what we want. There is no real need for the CSM to have a holiday. It is simple. We want some form of binding agreement that no "Gold ammo" Or any non-vanity item or item that gives any advantage be sold in the nex store. EVER. Secondly we want some changes to incarna. Not hard to understand why. some people like incarna other's do not. It should of been 100% optional.
And finally. We are no sick of poor content expansions and lack of balancing. For god sake the Gallente ships have had the largest disadvantage for the longest in eve history. They are not even very good at PVE. In proportion they have the most problems of any race in eve balancing ever.

Hence the reason why anyone who still has an interest in this game should blitzkrieg CSM now with their make-or-break demands. Let CCP dismiss CSM at their peril, let CSM ignore their constituents at their peril.
Personally, CCP can promise in blood that there will be no game-altering RMT items, it doesn't matter to me. A CCP which retains the current management won't see a dime from me ever again.

Quote: The tone and demeanor of my blog on Friday did not correctly portray my emotions towards the community and player base at large. I love and respect EVE and its community on a level that's hard to really do justice in words. However I let my frustration take charge of me, fueled by emotions that had built up due to a breach of trust we at CCP have been experiencing over the past few days. I know that sounds ironic considering those are the exact same feelings you have been having towards CCP.
For that I am sorry.
It's a roller coaster atm, to me that was obvious enough for Zulu not to have expressed this part but I understand he wanted to make sure people understood.
Quote: Having cooled off a bit and taken a solemn look at the situation, I see it's clear we need to strengthen the deep mutual trust and respect that's been so unique and descriptive of our relationship. There are certain questions you want answered and there isn't room for more error in our communication on those topics or our perception of the root causes.
Therefore we have asked the CSM to join us in Iceland for an extraordinary meeting June 30th and July 1st to discuss the events of past week, to help us define and address the real underlying concerns, and to assist us in defining and iterating on our virtual goods strategy.
The result of this meeting should be mutual agreement of how virtual goods and services will evolve in EVE. Other issues may be brought up and we urge you to contact the CSM with your comments and concerns so that they may be addressed at this session.
The root cause is people's fear about pay2win, it's that simple and doesn't require CSM input, the fact that they DO want CSM input suggests they want to introduce pay2win (at least to some degree) and want to figure out how to do this. Not a good sign.
Quote: However, just to prove the point of the Fearless newsletter and give you a further understanding of what it is then there are no and never have been plans to sell "gold ammo" for Aurum. In Fearless people are arguing a point, which doesn't even have to be their view, they are debating an issue. This is another example of how information out of context is no information at all.
A plausible explanation, but the "we never wanted to introduce gold ammo for aurom" is contradicted by their unwillingness to state "no pay2win for aurum", nitpicking perhaps but in current times one has to.
Quote:
Due to the volatility of the topic we want to refrain from any further comments on this matter until after meeting with the CSM.
Thank you for your patience,
Understandable but also too easy. ________

They should start a skype conference right away and also get some people in it which are allowed to make decisions.
I guess the majority of players is not interested in more wasted time and calls for sympathy.
The playerbase really cares for Eve and any criticism is not aimed against CCP, but rather to help them get back on track and develop Eve into a dircetion more satisfying for players and thus more rewarding for any company running it.

I doubt the CSM needs any nudging in this, they've made it very clear what their stance is on it all and they have a better perspective than most of us in this matter due to having dealt with CCP before. CSM will represent us just fine in this matter. ________

I am reasonably pleased. My only concern, this entire time, has been "gold ammo" or other analogs thereof being unavailable with isk. If they sell such things for Aurum, but can be put on the market for isk, I am unconcerned. Sure, it "bypasses the economy", but so do officer mods, and, to be honest, any mod or bp that you loot. That does not worry me.
The phrase "there are no and never have been plans to sell "gold ammo" for Aurum" puts my mind at ease.
Oh, and I AM a fan of WiS/Incarna. I look forward to when I can leave the CQ.

By the way, we already knew Soundwave was requested to write his article from the Gordon Gekko point of view. You lot just refused to hear it.
Now run along and declare your protests a victory... or start inserting your own half baked theory crafting into what was said so that it sounds like you haven't been a complete idiot all weekend.
Frankly, he gave the community more of an answer than they deserve after the childish behavior this weekend.

The CSM are us we elected them to office to represent us. In real world terms it's not like the president has to talk to every citizen in the US to get something decided but he does have to discuss it with Congress.
