Current vote count: no say 122, yes say 139, counted until post 295
As I said, a yes vote counts for many as a temporary standstill. If CCP does not deliver, rage will come back heavier than ever by the looks of it.

Originally by: diaufop Remember, Hilmar himself - and by extension the rest of CCP - only care about our actions, not our words.
And if our actions are mature and make us look like we're ready to listen to what CCP have to say by giving them a chance to formulate that statement, then won't that also benefit us?
Burning the game while we've got a fixed timeline for a response isn't going to help anyone. It'll just send the wrong message about us to CCP - "We don;t care about what you say, we just want to trash everything".
We need to stand down until after the CSM meeting. Depending on the outcome, a resumption of protests may be in order, but until then...

General rule of protesting: give up your leverage when you have given up your demands.

Edited by: Cz Ire on 27/06/2011 01:30:18 I honestly dont know.
This whole thing was extrodinarly poorly managed. Trust in CCP has been shaken. The fact that they are bringing in the CSM's could indicate that this means they have to do a policy reversal. In my opinion, there is a real chance that this is yet another stalling tactic.
That having been said, I think its been made clear that this is NOT something that the Eve community will abide. Permament damage has already been done. Many subs will stay cancelled, I feel. But, handled correctly, many subs will come back. I personally have cancelled the majority of my accounts, and they will remain cancelled until this situation is finalized, post CSM. CCP will not get a dime from me until then. I will however back off on my protestations - I feel we have made our point and they are starting to listen to us.
To turn a quote back on its owner - This was a utterly predictable reaction. You knew the vast majority of customers did not want MT, but you went ahead with it anyways. Honestly, if CCP was hurting for cash, and admitted it up front, talked to the userbase (directly or via the underused CSM), we could have come up with a diffrent solution. I personally would have been fine with a sub fee hike of 1-3$ per account.
However, this certainly does feel like price gouging - Eve Online is perhaps one of the most expensive MMO's to play on a per-customer basis; with the majority of players having multiple accounts. Those of us wishing to spend more on eve do so by purchasing mutiple accounts or plex, those of us who wish to pay less buy plex with isk. The point of eve, however, is we got FREE expansions and all the content was there, not locked away for access to only those of us who are richer IRL. Many of us are doubly upset because we do not see this money going back into eve, but being spent on new games, while major issues with eve remain unadressed.
Did you really think that a clunky room interface (that seems to TAKE AWAY from gameplay) and a vanity store counts as an expansion? I know its a technological achievement, and I remain hopeful for the future of WiS and Dust, but this is hands down the most underwhelming expansion I have seen (and I started in exodus).
CCP needs to understand that WE THE CUSTOMERS will not back down. We may calm down, but this issue wont go away in what may be another stalling tactic.
I am willing to calm down sLo long as CCP doesnt think that this is blowing over. Treat with the CSM, LISTEN to them. Use them better.
And in the future, discuss your plans with us, if you want us to be happy. Ignoring your customers and making unpopular decisions is bad in any buisness. I thought you had finally figured that out with the formation of the CSM, but like so many others, my trust in your basic intelligence has taken a hit.
Fix this if you want to keep us.

VERY MUCH this.
I¦m with Hilmar.
Time for actions is now.
We talked our a$$es of on the Sisi boards and all the complaint threadnaughts. Incarna fried/obsoleted perfectly good old hardware and new was/is bought but will still mostly overheat grossly because Incarna is forced on us to make the MT viable, NOT to introduce new gameplay!
They just thought it¦ll blow over until the cancelations flooded in and their own disgruntled peons started leaking internal memos.
THOSE LEAKS are what really hurt the management!
Admittedly most of the Jita pop is annoyed. But I could care less about that price gouging and scamming scum, that is most vocal in local.

They need to adress/fix the hardware issues ppl are having even with brand new systems.
And ofc they need to give a final anwser on "Will there ever be ANYTHING else than Vanity items in the NEX" (vanity= clothes, paintjobs, decals, decorations for your CQ) Are they planning on introducing anything other than that, ships, faction tower bpcs, etc etc.
Other than this I don't care mega much , i don't -need- to have lot's of shiny stuff for my avatar, (atleast not until we have the proper WIS)
That's my 2 cents

These are the Kinda of Situations that the CSM should be used for. The CSM represents a Broad spectrum of the Player Base. The CSM's have been listening as far as i can tell and they know our concerns. If CCP will not budge on it's Agenda then the CSM will let us know. Until then i say give it a rest, lets see how this plays out. This is a chance for the CSM to step up and Deliver. This is the Kind of thing that can really Define CSM's

I voted no.
Not that I'm protesting anything.
It just warms my heart when I go to sleep knowing that people are still shooting an indestructible object as a form of protest.
